    Car rings at me

has not done this before.....driving home tonight and randomly a loud single tone ring came from the dash for 2 or 3 seconds. no lights or indicators came on, just driving down the highway and BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP, and then totally normal. what could have happened? no running issues no other buzzers or lights

I've had that occurrence, however, it would BEEP and then a timer would come on the MPG section and read "2:00:00" and stay there. I'd say check the computer for any hidden codes.

It's most likely what DeeepBlue said, about the timer thing. I'm going to assume it's something related to maintenance, like an inspection or something.

ok that actually makes sense because I was pushing the maintenance button to see what happened and it just came up like 9,600 mile til next service then went away. didn't notice a timer for mpg but thats probably what happened.

Yeah that sounds about right. I havent looked into it since te last time it happened; doesn't occur enough for it to bother me. It'll beep ever 2 hours until you reset it- By turning off and then turning your car back on.

There is also a MPH setting if its turned on you hit a certain MPH and will beep. Have to have the MPH with line through it on dash to turn off. Mines set for 140 so doesnt go off to often
