Look man, in today's world one can never be too sure. I just caught your thread and have been reading through your progression and it seemed like it was going that way. Well done though. I'm throwing the B5 S4 rims on my car this fall as well.

Someone's coming for my B5 Avus rims tomorrow I needed the cash after dropping about $1400 on the car. I'll buy them again next year, maybe if I'm lucky I can find the 18's

Yeah, the 18" B6 Avus wheels are far superior in the looks dept, IMO. The fact that both of my B6's are running said wheel have no bearing on my opinion.

    ^^^lol,

Its cool how something just catches your heart and then doesn't let go. the wheels for me have always and will always be the 5 arm titanium rotors. I keep looking around trying to fall for something else like BBS's Avus's but there's just something about Mary. Beautiful work MN!

Well, she's looking for a new carpet for Noah, but I think she's doing really well since she was able to save her baby from the flood.

Hahaha, if she were you're great granddaughter, then you'd be in a home by now, and your vehicle of choice would be a walker.

even the smallest snow doesnt work with the combo of spacers, I needed a 10mm min to clear the brakes and for tires they become too beefy, I lowered the front from the last pictures I posted so I am lower then before.

Thanks for the comparison I actually wasn't aware the of the size difference. I'm using the stock B6 brakes so I shouldn't have an issue.

The B5 S4 caliper just barely cleared my 17" wheels with 10mm spacer.

So little update to the thread. been planning lots of things and just started to tackle some before the snow flies. I started to change up my interior some. I really want to swap out the platinum for all black but I know that will take time and money to source all the parts. more a summer job. I decided to do a little two tone interior on some main things. I started but picking up a black S-line steering wheel and airbag from a local salvage yard. I then started to change out the trim from the brush titanium to a black carbon fiber. Thanks to Brent over at Creative color for hooking me up with a couple sheets of drops. I plan to change the shift knob to black and over winter source part by part to change over to fully black but as of right now I like the change of pace.

    here are some photos:

    Before

    New stuff going on:

    After:

    Full view:

They are just iphone pictures so please excuse me. I like the change and will be updating along the way. It also matches my black monster matts too
It might not be for everyone but its a work in progress and I like the change in pace a bit

yup tip with 209,000 miles on original tranny with a Revo tune since 190K. I got the car 3 years ago for a song so I didn't mind the auto. If I had to do it again of course I would have a manual but I am happy with my car.

So I always wanted a black interior so I have been piecing together a black one and swapping it as I go. I got the doors done today and looking to move onto the dash and other things soon:

So a little update on the car, I continued to find and pull parts for my interior swap. I am now 99.99 percent done, just one more little thing and its all done. Here are a few pictures of the work.

Pulled center console and carpet and started to lay the black down:

That was all for the first part, a week later I went back to the same place and pulled the dash for myself. got it home and decided I couldnt wait and swapped it in:

Every thing is done except for the glove box cover. I got a black glove box with no cover so swapped it all and decided just to find a cover or try something with mine but who knows. It is the only thing left and then it will be complete, I am very happy with the out come. I may wrap the upper half this summer but we will see. I will get a couple nice shots of the completed interior tomorrow morning and will edit this post.

So instead of paying the money for a glove box cover as they usually just sell the full unit for quiet a lot of money I decided to try some paint. I went to the local auto store after work and picked up some wax and grease remover, adhesion promoter, and some flat black interior trim paint. I took the cover off the glove box and masked it all up. went with 3 coats or promoter and 3 coats of paint. I have yet to install it as I want to make sure its fully dry before I mess with it. Over all I am really impressed with how well it matches. it was very easy to paint and did not take long at all. It beats shelling out all the money for a used one somewhere. Here are some pictures of the process and I will get some more when its installed tomorrow.

    Sorry for the iphone pictures

    Masking pulled off:

Outstanding!! Please let us know how well it blends in once installed. At some point in the future I need to refinish my center console. I have been pretty happy with the Krylon Camo Black for minor touch-up but it's maybe a 90% match. The Dupli-Color looks really nice

I will be sure to get some pictures of it installed, I put it next to the center console when I got done and it was super close. I used the camo paint when I peeling window switches and on my headlight switch, When I got the S4 door cards they came with new switches

haha I was thinking the same thing then kept looking at pictures and videos and decided what the hell if its half ass I will have to buy a new one, if I leave it how it was I need to buy a new one, so after doing this I am very happy and I am money ahead. I will make sure to get nice pictures tomorrow morning. Its funny how it looks so textured in one of the pictures. The prep work I believe is what made it look so good

That glove box looks great. I can't wait to see how well it matches. I'm thinking of doing the b7 console in black if I don't revert to the black b6.

The interior swap looks awesome!!!! I'm in the process of mine and this has been good mentoring reading through this.

    Keep it up
