    audiled.eu LED Headlight Retrofit to C6 2005

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi,
I purchased LED Bi-Xenon with AFS headlights from audiled.eu and am installing them in my 2005 A6 C6. There are two mysterious bulbs sitting inside the headlight housing that I am not sure what to do with. The wires for these bulbs are not long enough for them to go anywhere outside the headlight unit and there does not seem to be a place for them inside the unit.

Anyone else buy lights from this website? I asked him but he doesn't speak much english and can't give me a straight answer as to where they should go. I'll continue to post pictures as they are installed and what the finished product looks like on/off on my car. Stay tuned!

Followup to this: The bulbs shown in the picture do nothing and are just supposed to sit inside the headlight housing, they are apparently needed for proper wiring of the LED system. Sounds odd to me as well. I will post pictures once installed.

Ah yes KrUsTyX...I searched and searched and couldn't find any mention of the audiled.eu version headlights. I found posts of guys who did manual retrofits of rs6 lights but nothing else.

Needless to say its now a huge headache and my mechanic has spent hours on it which is going to cost me a ton. the instructions are horrible and unclear and do not make sense. here is where I'm at:
drivers side works fine, passenger side DRL flicker, when beams on LEDs on passenger do not work. We both have no idea what to do to fix it. VIdeos:

drivers side headlights off DRL on: LED flickers and makes sound humming sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z9vOEhkTQs

Hi! OK, and update to this. The little bulbs I mentioned in the previous post NEED to be connected and just sitting inside the housing for the lights to work. We removed them thinking they were pointless because the horribly written instructions didn't say anything about them. Bad move as this caused the flickering. Put the bulbs back in and the DRLs work properly including dimming when turn signal. However, when the headlight beams are turned on the DRLs turn off completly instead of dimming. Of course the instructions don't mentioned anything about this so I'll have to revisit it. We think we have the add wires to the fog lights in order for this to work becuase the passenger side was working properly with the added wiring spliced to the fog lights, we removed this though because we couldn't figure out the wiring for the drivers side.

At the moment its just DRL and no LEDs when headlights on. Drivable for the time being. I'll update again when we figure it all out.

    Pic below of working DRLs.

Krustyx: yeah, that is what he keeps sending me as well when I ask for a diagram of the wiring harness...I just need a picture of what wires control what on the main headlight connection so I can join it with the hot wire from the parking light. He doesn't understand what I'm asking so he keeps sending me that, which is the most incomprehensible guide ever. It doesn't make any sense.

Why would I repin the 10-pin harness when the 10-pin female has pin locations only where the current wires exist? The repinned config would have wires connecting to nothing. On his diagram this is labeled good pin location/bad pin location. And then on the 14 pin connection, the harness doesn't connect to anything at pin 10 so adding a wire here would not do anything?

Maybe I'm slow but my mechanic couldn't understand it either. we could join the wire to the parking light hot wire and randomly try adding it to pins on the 14pin connector but he's worried about frying something internally if we guess wrong. Again, hole 10 is vacant so adding it here wouldn't do anything.

Does anyone have a diagram showing what each of the wires on the 14pin connector go to? Ie. parking light hot, parking light ground, led hot, turn signal hot, etc etc???
