I was off the past couple weeks on "paternity" leave and had not driven my car. I went back to work today and noticed some sluggish performance, and eventually threw a cel with p0243 code. Looks like a wastegate solenoid issue. After looking under the hood I found some chewed wires directly below the battery, behind the engine. I am guessing a squirrel or mouse/chipmunk got in there and had a field day. It looks like the wires have not been completely chewed, so I should be able to use electrical tape to insulate the individual wires, until I have time to repair correctly. My only problem is I don't know how to get access to these wires. I don't know if taking the battery out would be the best way to get to it. Has any one else needed to get to these wires for any reason.

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Tom

Well, I was way off on what I was originally looking at. Looks like the squirrel chewed on a few wires. The original wire I was looking at looks like it comes out of the back of the cat converter. I removed the intake and found the problem below the turbo. Looks like maybe the n75 module and wastegate solenoid wires were chewed right through. I attempted to remove the wiring clips, but they will not come loose(it is a tough angle). I am now searching for the wiring harness that I can solder to the existing. I will clip off the damaged area and solder up higher in the engine bay. Anyone have any possible sources for the wiring harness, other than a junk yard.

    Thanks in advance,
    Tom
