    Dash Speakers

    Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum, picked up my 2012 Ibis White A4 Premium+ 6speed about a month ago. Love the car so far!

Looks like there has been some discussion on replacing the 3" front dash mid-ranges with the B&O system, which i do not have.
I was thinking of putting some 3.5" coaxials up there - my question is - in the non-B&O system are the tweeters simply crossed over with a resistor on the speaker itself? (ie if you take the oem tweeter out, do the wires carry a full range signal or is it crossed over at the door woofer?
Also, has anyone tried a Polk or Infinity 3.5" coax up there?
    Thanks in advance.

Yes the dash wires carry a full signal and the OEM dash tweeters have a Capacitor to crossover the tweeter and filter out lows. I have been thinking and even ordered and returned, a set of Polk DB351, which also come with a 200HZ filter and are 3.5. I never got to test the fit. Point.Blank, Quality_sound, and others including myself (but mostly them) have been researching the different options. There are several threads about it.
