Thanks. Still have the old wheels but I don't think I'm ready to give them up yet. I was rockin them on my V8 for a while so I think i'll refinish them and throw them back on that car. If I get the itch to sell them I let you know though

    Some interior stuff

So anyone that has sat or driven in the stock pleather A4 seats know that they are the suck. I got tired of sliding around the car whenever I wanted to go around a corner so I got some replacements...ready for this???

    Tenzo-R GT Leather Seats
    Full carbon base and back

I was skeptical when i bought them cause they're Tenzo's...Come on!! I was very surprised though when I found that they were decently made and really comfortable. I got a good deal on them so they were about half the price of the Recaro Sports I had my eye on. They came with some brackets and sliders but I didn't like how they were set up so I bought and modified some new Corbeau sliders for them.

I run F6DTC's with stock AEB coils and ICM. No issues here on 91 octane and 383whp on 034's dyno. The coils arent your problem.

Nice build BTW. Very similar to mine.

Thanks Dillon. Yeah i'll give them a try. I imagine my tune was part of the problem cause I kept fouling out plugs. with the coils and a few tweeks to the tune its running alot better now...not perfect but better. Really need to get it on the dyno but it's hard to find time.

Anyway... I was running an Innovate LC1 from when I put the engine in up until recently. Some people really like Innovate's stuff but mine was junk! It only worked half the time, the other half it would just blink. I went through 2 sensors, recalibrated at least 10 times, checked and redid the wiring a few times and it just got worse and worse. I got to the point where every time I would get into boost it would cut out. My friend had one on his A4 too and it started doing the same thing.

Sooo...I pulled the innovate and went with Zeitronix. I could not be happier. Simpler to install, better guage imo, and haven't had one problem with it.

When i lived in DC there was a DSM shop that had a AWD dyno out in the Dulles area. There is also diebold in Winchester. Not knocking RAI but there are other options. I have heard lots of good things about diebold.

Hmmm...never heard of Diebold, i'll have to look them up. The one in dulles is Mach V and I've talked to them. they told me that the don't do weekends so I will have to take it up there sometime during the week but finding time to do that is hard. Yeah RAI is a little far so I would rather find something closer.

Oh OK... Diebold is Franz's. Don't know him personally but have heard of him and know that he is affiliated with Justice racing where I got my machine work done. May give him a call but I heard that he has a waiting list.

Im running an Innovate myself. It does act silly sometimes. lol. I think its interference in the wiring. If it acts up worse than it is, I might be joining you on that choice. Looks good.

Finally got The car back on the dyno after fixing a few small problems. I'm still running my rough Eurodyne tune but have some new stuff in the works so I just wanted to get a baseline to work off of. 361awhp, 341 awtq at 24psi

Looking good bro, the build looks solid.

You should go back to RAI dyno to compare.

people don't realize how hard it is to make 400awhp. Every build making 330whp always swears up and down they are making 400 but usually never prove it

Thanks man. Dyno was at Mach V motorsports in Sterling. Still the stock Aeb mani, the SEM isn't on yet...doing some work to it before it goes on.

Thanks. I will eventually make it back to RAI to get my heart ripped out but Mach V is closer so I will probably do more tuning there.

Yeah I know. Still shooting for the 400 whp mark though. I've got some new management coming soon for it which will hopefully get me there.

    So here's a little update.
I was changing the oil yesterday and decided to take a look at the timing belt just to make sure everything looked good. I was a good thing I did cause i found that the cam position sensor bolts had backed out and the sensor was just flopping around. No damage done but it could explain some of the roughness in the power curve on the dyno printout

Started the polishing process for the SEM manifold. Its slow going but should look good in the end.

    Before:

    Currently about 4 hours in:

I remember desperately waiting on this manifold when I had an A4... Now they are out and it doesn't seem like many people are running them? Am I wrong?

What kind of gains do you expect?

It seems to be getting harder for the shops to get them from SEM, there also seems to be a big issue with running them on the B6 because the fuel rail ends up hitting the hood frame even with 48mm injectors. To fix the issue one person ended up going with a set of Stern B6/B7 S4 4.2 motor mounts which are shorter then the standard mounts and also went with a shorter transmission mount.

I got mine directly from SEM back in June, took about 2 weeks to get. As for gains... don't know but I'm interested to see. I will probably dyno the car once more before I put it on then again after to compare. I know that conditions change between dyno sessions but it should provide an idea of gains. 034 got a max of 44whp more then the AEB on their timeattack car so I will guess 20-25whp on mine.

Slow progress due to the other money pits

    Just for fun:

New 2.0 ABA just went in after a year of sitting. Working on getting her road worthy again

And the daily. Love it but she's a wallet vampire.

So here's what I been up to for the last few days:

Started pulling everything apart for the new injectors

I'm sure this made more sense to me when I made the MAF harness for the TAPP tune

New ID 1000cc's next to the old Siemens 630's

    ID's

    Siemens

    Flow Matched

    New connectors

Made a new injector harness and routed it under the intake manifold

Well I'm back at it again.

Decided to finally put on the intake manifold even though I'm not done polishing it. Time to make some power not care what it looks like.

    She's a big bitch

And since I'm doing that, might as well put some new cams in. IE IECVA1's

    IE's compared to stock

    IE's compared to the Schricks

Fuel rail was hitting the hood so I had to get a new 034 rail. It's about 1/2 an inch shorter.

Was just going to ask about the clearance with the SEM manifold, but you already answered that question.

I had to take the foam off from the under side of the hood and now have about 1/4 inch of clearance between the manifold and hood brace. I might clearance the brace if it shows signs of hitting. I found that you can't use 60mm injectors either or the fuel rail will hit (even the shorter one). My ID's had a billet extension piece on the top that I was able to take off to get them to the 48mm size needed.

Also found that my timing belt stretched. tensioner was all the way out and still could move the tensioner pulley by hand. Very glad I caught that.

Anyways...got a new manual tensioner from Integrated and a new belt

Also had to redo my cold side charge pipe for the new manifold. It was one piece but I had to cut it and ad in two 45 degree silicone hoses. Made a tool to put some beads in my pipes

End result after 5 mins of work
