Hey all, I just got some new drls which I need help to wire up.
I have them fitted neatly next to the foglight and need to know what power to tap into.
    It has three cables
    a positve
    a negative
and one which has to go to "headlight".

can anyone tell me where these wires should go to. I can take some pics of the install once I have them wired in.
    Thanks

I've done a considerable amount of reading and what most people do is run a wire to the drivers side fuse box and use fuse 20# heated window washer fluid to get their power. then they can connect the control cable to the headlights to control dimming etc. I haven't done it yet, as i'm waiting for my fuse tap(add a circuit cable) to come from ebay. I'm not looking forward to cabling it in, no idea how to run the cable can anyone help with this. I know there is grommets but where are they located? on the drivers side and the engine bay?
    thanks

Generally speaking since I haven't worked on any Audi's, follow the wire bundle to the fire wall. On North American left hand drive cars, they are usually on the drivers side since that 's where many wires terminate. In you case, they may be on the right hand side.

The wires either go through the firewall by using a connector with the harness plugging into each side or the bundle passes through a grommet.

You may have to drill a hole in an area that is clear on both sides. When you do find a way, add a couple of spare wires for future use.

I found it, it was on the left hand side so i rang it through the grommet for the brake lines, I had a busy weekend. the drls are now running and looking mean. I installed reversing sensors and they are perfect. I also put in led drl bulbs but they are doing a flash every minute or two. Apparently I need to get load resistors to stop the flashing, very annoying as replacing bulbs is a nightmare. my arms look like a fella who's into self harming or something!
