Well, I am about to install this Brembo 405x34 big brake kit on. Its supposed to be custom fitted to my car, easy bolt off bolt on.

I'll get back to you guys later with pics and comments about if that was actually true. Lol

Topped up screen wash for the third time in my 2.5 year ownership.

I like to have my windscreen and rear screen clean but this 4.8 litre washer bottle last ages

Finally decided to do the intake and get rid of the oem restrictions. Nothing fabulous, an AFE Pro Dry S drop in filter and an ECS S4 supercharger inlet hose ( I did have to remove 4-5 inches from the ECS hose for a correct fit ). Sounds good ! I wanted to hear the supercharger and let her breath better and I'm happy with the outcome.

    I’m on to similar task.

Started rethreading steering wheel with red thread to match gear gaitor I did few weeks ago.
Might do the armrest also, as just got inspired by previous post.

Guess I'll catch everyone up on the work that has been done to the car since the last time.

I finally got around to replacing the vacuum pump that was leaking oil. Incredibly easy btw! Here are a couple of pics of the old pump with nothing but oil buildup surrounding it.

Shortly after, the valve cover gasket I had replaced a while back cracked and the crankshaft positioning valve needed to be replaced as well. That was replaced by the shop who did the work the first time no charge.

One morning I decided to check my sway bar end links; I knew they were bad but not to the point of what I saw that morning. The driver side bushing had completely separated from the end-link it self causing a knock when turning and hitting bumps. Dangerous I know! Luckily, I already had received the new end-links!

    Before:

    After:

And then that brings me to this past weekend... somehow while at a car show I ran across a STEAL and picked up these...
They are 20x10 ET40, which is the exact wheel setup I was wanting. The guy moved them to the front of their booth while I was walking by and lowered the price, so I just had to!

Mine looks just like that. Leaking everywhere (at least I think that's what's leaking because it's covered in oil like the pic you posted and everything beneath it is covered in oil also).

Do you have to replace the entire pump or just a seal or something? And what's the exact name of it if you don't mind? Thanks.

That is the vacuum pump. It is recommended to replace the entire pump. You can replace just the seal and save some money up front, but it will leak again sooner than later.

What did you do to your C6 today?

    Your steering wheel looks great.

Personally not a fan of those thick ones. They look too masculine to me.

Was looking to change mine or had flat bottom done but at the moment will have to do with red stitching.
    Just finished it

Now it matches with red stitching on gear knob leather gaiter and front centre armrest.

So, this started out because the driver side DRL burnt out. After a couple of attempts to replace it while still in the car, I ended up with this project.

It all started at about 5:00 pm and finished about 5:00 PM the next day

The head lights received a through scuffing starting at 800 grit
    800.jpg then 1500 grit 800-1500-1.jpg
and ending at 2000 grit not bad, thought about getting some 5000, but it was almost 2 AM.
    3800-2000.jpg

    Read for Clear
    Ready for clear.jpg

Then a couple of coats of Clear and they were mostly ready to go back in.
The drivers side, had what looked like crinkles in the clear, so I sanded them down again. The second attempt, I discoverered the crinkles were probably heat cracks or something in the plastic itself, so I Just did a light 2000 grit sanding and finished it off. It is not as nice as the passenger side, but still 10,000% better then when I started.

While waiting for the lights to dry, I figured I would take a look at the plugs.
    Plugs out.jpg

Yep, need to replace them. Off to Autozone to get the NGK Iridium BKR6ETX-11s. There were 2 that had scorched tips, one of them was paired with the Longer Coil pack pictured.
    Different Coils.jpg

After taking all of the packs out, it seems, I will be getting a full set of matched coils in the very near future. There are at least 3 different brands :( Damn it.

About half way through the plug job, I noticed a bird already hit the target.

I’ve properly washed, polished and waxed the car over the weekend

It rained next day but joy I had from the end result was worth the effort.

Took it on it's first road trip over the weekend. Albuquerque to Phoenix. I-17 from flagstaff to Phoenix was a blast. Over 1000 miles total.
