What did you do to your C6 today?

I washed her after work. She wasn't even that dirty, but after a long work week, it's very relaxing to just be able to spend 45-60 minutes and give her a good bath. Then, I have to gaze at her for a couple of minutes or so before I head into the house lol

I actually had a clear bra installed today which I wasnt going to do since its a lease and then decided to do it after I had a rock chip...she'll get a bath in the morning

I will have pics of everything at once :). Btw how can u remove the 4 ring emblem in the front grill when I did the sides I thought it would be cool to do the rings too.

The front rings are held in place by several tabs around the edges. Easiest is to do it from behind the grill, but that requires removing it. I did it by taking a small flathead screwdriver and gently working my way around the rings. Takes a little time and ease of hand but you should be able to pull them off without breaking the tabs.

Couple of jobs done today that were doing my head in..
Condensation in rear lens.. Dried it out and sealed it round the edges with some silicone seal! I guess time and the Scottish weather will tell if It's worked..

Also fitted some new Bosch Wiper blades, as the old ones had seen better days!
Then gave the car a good wash and HD wax.. Rain-X applied and tyres dressed!

I gave the car a nice bath, made an appt with my detailer for a pre-Wuste detail and I Debadged the "Quattro" off the front grill (thanks Jeremy).




The picture also shows how there is a tinted strip around the edges of the headlight housing after I peeled the paint. Lamin-x precuts were also ordered today.

Did you plastidip the whole grille, or just the chrome outline. your grille looks really black but mine is grey and i haven't been able to find a blacked out grill. Which one do you have?

i have the original grill , grey, but a while ago i painted the front bumper, and i also painted the grill too. its brilliant black. i only plasti dipped the chrome now.

id do the entire thing if you want a meaner look.

My car recently got hit and the grill and front bumper had to be replaced so I asked the body shop to paint the new grill when they were painting the bumper. But the guy said unless they sanded every little crevice of the grille which is a lot of little squares as you know, the paint would not stick and quickly flake off. Did you do that with yours? I will probably just end up plasti dipping the whole new grill once I get the car back, but just wondering your opinion on what that guy said.

Car is at the detailer getting a complete detail prior to going to Wuste. Once completed, I am going to install the Lamin-x precuts on headlight.? Pictures will follow.

i dont think they sanded it, they just painted it over and he warned me that it might chip. it did not flake off.
why dont u get the 09-11 grill which is entirely black to begin with?!

Ok. So I got the car detailed. Clay bar and then 2 coats of wax, complete interior cleaning and conditioning and went through every nook and cranny so I am really pleased. I drive home and pull out the Lamin-x precuts and read the instructions. Appears to be more than my abilities would allow so I drive to a trusted tint shop to see if they would install. Long story short, they were reluctant to do it and would not be able to until first of next week. No go.
I drive home all the while praying that i don't get hit with the arrant sprinkler, car window washer etc to mess up my car. Get home and figure "how hard could it really be?" (famous last words). Pull the Lamin-x out and got to work. Na hour later, I am sweating like some sort of farm animal and the Lamin-X is balled up in my trash can. Lack of experience and, more importantly, patience just cost me $56 bucks.
On the bright side of things, I did take a few photos with the new camera of the car in it's clean condition.

Anthony did a great job with the Audifest Dinner last might. Food was good and the 32 ounce beers went down so well after being out in the desert heat all day.
