    80k Service, $$ Pinch... Any Help?

    why dont you just buy a haynes manual or equivalent from your local auto parts store...if that cant help you then my best advice would be to take it to take it to a shop

    I didnt need the man... got some good advice from my local VW guys, that run bith Audi and VW shop Stealership, told me to do the Plugs myself, and the coils, plus I can do the haldex for cheap and the pollen filter myself, the belt is only 200, but thanks for the response, glad to see somebody wants to help!! Now on to WHAT TUNE TO RUN ON MY CAR, and Is it worth it to go Higher than Stage1 if Im in cali and cant get 93 :(

    bently manual was first purchase after i bought a 2001 TT 225Q dec 2012, had a vw 01 1.8T jetta so i had a head start, read read and read more, lots of info on line, i an an average car guy, i work slower but for free and enjoy it, you can do most things if you really want to and save big $$$ vw dealer is $73 now audi ?? maybe a bill an hr good time to learn!!!

    There's a ton of information on these forums if you spend a couple hours searching around. Check out the Wiki section too. All 1.8T's are very similar. I would suggest doing a timing belt along with the water pump. Things like your accessory belt/s, belt tensioners, thermostat, cam and crank seals are also a good idea to replace. Lets not forget the valve cover gasket!
