    Location of the crank position sensor

    Needing to get to the CPS to change it out on my 01 TT Quattro. Can anyone give me a heads up as to where it is? Thanks

    It is located by your fuel rail, at the end where all the gear pulleys are. The location is on the block, and you should see it by the corner of the valve cover. Little metal clip holding it in, and the connector will probably be only connector left after the fuel injector connectors.

    Ok.....found the thing...got the plug end but how do I get to the crazy screw at the sensor end? Oil filter out of the way, what else needs to be done to get at it?

    I don't own a TT, so don't quite know. I know the 1.8t engine. Have any pics? Can't be that difficult. Show pics of the whole working area, por favor.

    Cam and crank position sensors are two different hings I thought
