FI exhaust, what they call a 'cat-back' system (downpipes and full exhaust) is installed and holy $hit does it sound amazing! windows down, stereo off, i listen to the cars soundtrack from now on!

i took a few vids with a flip camera and they sound better than the gopro, so i got some 'after' vids with it as well, and will format into a video tonight or tomorrow, and let you folks be the judge. I've heard it's as loud as AWE's track DP+exhaust setup, and i have to believe it because it sounds loud as phuck. Haven't done any highway driving yet, but haven't noticed any drone at all (manual on my S5) and i've tried all the gears from 20-30mph to 100+

The Install and the company: As far as Fast Intentions goes... i called them last night at 11:30 at night (they're in cali i'm in NY though, you do the time conversion) and they picked up and put Danny on the line to answer my tech question on exhaust removal. We didn't have stubby wrenches and the passenger side downpipe removal gave us a headache, but we had it on the lift and fig'd it out. (save yourself a headache, buy the cheater tool from AWE or make sure you have stubbies. Pretty straightforward removal and installation, remove, install (handtight) from front to back and once installed, torque from front to back so you can make final adjustments at the rear for positioning. took us 2.25 hours on a lift because that front DP we spent an hour trying to fig out how to remove (even tried from the top, but it's impossible from the top... do it from the bottom with a stubby!) So about 1.5 hours probably. I imagine longer if you're gonna do it yourself on jack stands or any other way without a lift, but still not bad.

The sound Videos don't really do it justice. The in person sound is amazing. Sounds throaty and like a v8, but refined and smooth at the same time... hard to describe. The best comparison i can give is the 2010 Maserati GT or an Aston Martin DBS if you've ever heard either one in person. I know it sounds weird, but it's so hard to explain... it's a deep v8 growl at the bottom but as it winds up it def has an exotic refined sound to it. Absolutely no drone that i've found yet, haven't done extended highway trip yet.

The video stay tuned. Recorded before and afters with Flip HD Ultra and Befores with gopro (sound quality sucked, so didn't bother with an 'after').

The verdict: I was minutes away, CC in hand from ordering AWE Track with DP's and heard the FI for the first time... i took an extra week or so contemplating and at about half the price, decided on Danny and the guys at Fast Intentions. No regrets. Packaging was awesome, (only downfall was they applied tape to the chrome exhaust to apply the bubble wrap and it's a pain to get off, and as the residual melts off, there is a slight burning smell, i should've used more goo-gone). If you're looking for a loud, DP+exhaust setup that sounds refined.... it's a no-brainer, call Danny and the guys at Fast Intentions, you won't be disappointed.

Same here - just bought a 2013 S5 6MT. Looks like everyone is sharing upgrades on the old V8 engine. Has anyone modded a 2013 yet? Are there even any exhaust mods available yet for the 2013 model?

I'm lovin that too! I almost pulled the trigger on FI (also after seeing StatiCuxo's vid) back in January but found a pre-owned MTM system that had similar tone, just not as loud. I've been pretty happy with it, but now I'm back to wanting the Fast Intentions!

i was going back and forth on the AWE track + non res DP setup, actually had my CC in hand and phone in hand when i first heard the FI setup..... SO glad i went FI.

I will install an AWE touring exhaust soon.

I have not put the car on the dyno yet, but the tune is supposed to increase the hp 100+. It sure feels like it. I have timed the 0 to 60 at right at 4 seconds.

Just got my AWE exhaust with silver tips from TAG Motorsports. Using the stock downpipes. Sorry for the not so great video better ones to come. Thanks again to Alex at TAG! Great recommendation and a cheaper alternative to the complete system.

Picked up an S5 valence (great buy from Tboooe...thanks again) and sprayed it satin black. Tips are from Solo Performance. They are of great quality and I like that there is little taper and the tips are longer than any I have seen (also thanks to Tboooe for tracking these down). I had to redo the tail pipes to accomodate with a larger pipe and new format. This came out as a win....there are noticable gains performance wise and smooter accel. The fit is as good as possible...I even stood on a ladder to get them even while the shop lined them up. Gaps are dead on as well as poke. Only flaw is one side runs a bit up hill (Tboooe is the only person that would notice:).

I've been looking for an exhaust and i see a lot of people buying AWE exhausts because they are more known for audi's, I'm not too interested on AWE this look awesome. Could you give me more detail on which exhaust is this. i went on solo performance.com but all i see is exhausts for camaros, challengers and trucks.

Its somewhat custom. AWE mid muffler, 2.5" SS pipe to 2.75" stainless pipe at the turn into those 3.5" solo performance tips. No rear mufflers.

Who here has the APR ECU tune? How much power did it give you? I'm eventually going to get it on my 2014 and just wanted to know how good it is.

I just got the new pulley and ECU tune for my 2013 s5. Lots more power and torque. Over 100 hp increase at the wheel. The car is now a beast, but also the car is much easier to drive. I love it. I also have the the APR Carbinio intake.
