    Hey All!

I picked up a 2014 S5 cab, white/magma with 63k. Loving it so far. Slapped on an eggcrate grill and some amber tint for the front headlights (not totally sold on the look). The peelers are curbed pretty badly, so I decided to swap the stock wheels I had sitting around from my b9.5 s4. I think they look decent but def need spacers. Thoughts?

My preference would be to run spacers. I think the B9 wheels sit in even further than the B8.5 wheels? Not sure of the specs. Otherwise, looks clean.

"New" B8 S5 coupe in the garage here...

Hi All, John in the NY Hudson Valley here. I'm down to just one free garage bay and just put a really minty low mileage, bone stock, '11 S5 in it. The car is a 6spd manual, Prestige trim, Ibis White over Tuscan Brown. This is coming on the heels of several M3's, an M2, a 991.1 GTS, and an OG NSX in the last decade. I am really in love with this this car and can't get over how much it reminds me of my e92 M3 (with some pluses and minuses). I have always been a stickler for keeping my cars bone-stock, but I am really tempted to go down a worm hole with this S5 because it is so great, but it also seems to have so much untapped potential. So far I have swapped out the double spokes for OEM 19" Rotors and added rear 10mm spacers. I'm definitely going to install the 034 center trans mount and rear diff mounts.... beyond that I'm really on the fence. It really could use some exhaust help.... we shall see. This is my first Audi and also my first AWD car so this is all new to me. Have really enjoyed reading the content on this forum! John.image_50418945.jpgimage_50429953.jpg

Congrats on your new vehicle! She's beautiful, love the color combo. Can't help on exhaust since I have the 3.0T in mine, but I would highly recommend some suspension mods. I've added a CR15 strut brace, an 034 x-brace and an 034 adjustable rear sway bar. All have been good additions, but the rear sway bar made the most noticeable difference. I'd imagine it would be a great add on to the V8, since the engine is heavier than the V6.

    Good luck!

If your car has the Sports Diff option the rear sway does not make as big of a difference from what I read.

I recently did the CR-15 strut brace and the Alu Kruz (used off here) braces and it was a noticeable upgrade, not OMG but the chassis feels more direct.

    https://www.ecodetuning.com/ec0101-0...tabilizer.html

I would check out Eurocode for the drive train inserts as well, especially when they are on sale. Great way to save a few $$ over 034 and you can get them in black so they don't stand out.
    https://www.ecodetuning.com/Audi_S5-B8_08-12_V8_4-2_L

Exhaust - Corsa (if you can find one) or AWE for drone free in cab while still hearing the V8 outside.
15' Sepang Blue S4, Prestige, DSG, Black Optics, Nappa, Sport diff, Adaptive suspension, Carbon Atlas, SC badges.
I've added: 30% ceramic tint, Vled's 5K fogs and reverse bulbs, Osram CBN HID bulbs, Jackal Motorsports Stage 1 with DSG tune (NGK BKR8EIX plugs @ .026"), APR Carbon Fiber intake and tube, CR-15 brace, EuroCode Alu Kruez and DSG insert.

Based on my experience, the rear sway bar made the biggest difference in handling. I have the Sports Diff option. It was immediately noticeable. With these cars being so front heavy, understeer is a big issue. A stiffer rear sway bar really helps reduce that, even with the sports diff.

    New to me 2012 S5 6MT

Hi All, just got my new to me 2012 S5 V8 with a 6MT and 78,000 miles. It came with a AWE touring exhaust fitted with the additional track rear pipes as well. JH Motorsports stage 1 tune, BFI shift know and short throw shifter and JXB shift plate. Also got some spares and upgrade parts loose, Audi Q5 4 pot front brake calipers, new Zimmerman brake rotors and pads thrown in, along with a 034 Motorsports rear sway bay. Got some minor cosmetic paintwork to still take care of, but otherwise in very good overall condition.
Looking forward to learning and sharing my experience.

    Hi all,

Thanks for having me! I'm a German mechanical engineer living in South Florida. Owner of a 2015 B8.5 RS5 for several months now. Just celebrated 100k miles. The car is stock.

    Mods:
I want to keep it classy. I believe she's a refined muscle-car and the most beautiful coupe ever created. That being said, I do want to implement Audi 'in-house' mods like ceramic brakes, dynamic damping (was available in Europe), brighter headlights, and more.

    Condition:
Audi dealership says she's in great condition. However, she's certainly not 'mint' by any means--nothing like many of your beauties here. I still love her. She's my daily and should be for as long as humanly possible.
I do plan on investing a lot of my leisure time and parts in bringing her in a perfect technical condition.

    Here's a short-list of things of things I planned:

    Replacements:

    1. N80 valve
    2. Motor mounts
    3. Rear bushings
    4. Evaporator and air ducts (previous owner smoked and it still smells despite heavy cleaning and filter changes)
    5. Sunshade
    5. Headliner interior
    6. Catalytic converter
    6. Whatever pops up in the fault codes/during repairs

    Service:
    1. Full carbon cleanup with walnut shell sanding
    2. Full fluid replacement

    Holy grail repair:
Engine drop and timing chain service. I know, it's the worst-case scenario for most. However, I see it as the ultimate challenge and actually look forward to it. Dropping a N/A V8 and fixing her metal chains is as hardcore as it gets.

I bought this pig. NOW it's time to modify!

    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2013-audi-rs5-39/

    Also looking for suggestions:

I just picked up a 2013 RS5 with 20" Rohana RC7s in matte graphite on PS4s 285/30. The car is my DD. I dislike the rubberband look and would prefer to run 19s for durability. In the Spring I'll probably need new tires and like the look of Velgen VF09s (not available in 19"). Any suggestions for similar wheels?

The H &R springs are definitely going. But I'm not sure whether to go back to stock springs/ride height or pony up for coil-overs/bags.

Congrats! While it has less spokes, I think the Neuspeed RSf72 has a similar look and is available in 19".

Very nice. Maybrook NY is right around the corner from me. I bought my last Audi on bringatrailer too. Good luck with it. Take a look at the Bilstein B12 pro kit..... great bang for the buck. I'm loving it.

I'm a big fan of Bilstein products. I'm still in the process of figuring out what the car has on it and then I'll decide whether to go back to stock vs coilovers/bags.

    *** Official B[emoji239] A5/S5/RS5 New Owner Introductory ***

Hey what’s up everyone. I’ve been surfing this forum for years as I was the owner of a 2009 A3 S-line. Never really posted anything but this spot was always my go-to for help.
A couple of years ago I picked up a 2009 S5 that had some problems (oil leaks everywhere) and it sat in my garage for a hot minute because I was busy with work/life. I’ve always wanted a manual V8 and I’m not the mustang type of guy.
Either way I finally got around to putting some work into it just recently. Just some basic maintnance really brought this car back to life.

    Recently performed maintnance
    -valley pan/oil housing/valve cover/oil pan gaskets
    -dumped and flushed tranny/engine/brake/coolant fluids
-carbon clean on 6 of the 8 ports. (Couldn’t get my crank to rotate with intake off) anyone got tips I’m all ears.
    -new coil’s(APR) and plugs (NGK)
-My personal favorite, replaced both bad headlight washer nozzles.
-Converted all lights to LED bulbs (with the help of Ross tech’s vagcom, and resistors)

    Mods performed so far
-JHM intake spacers (performed that when I did the gasket replacement and carbon clean)
-034 Motorsport front control arm kit
    -Paragon C7 410mm BBK
-AWE track edition cat-back resonator deleted
    -Bilstein B16 with EDC
    -034 Motorsport intake tube
    -APR carbon intake box
    -ECS air scoop
    -20’ HRE 790r 3 piece forged
    -jackal tune

Hopefully next weekend I can get started on replacing all the coil pack connectors that literally disintegrated in my hands as I unplugged them. Picked up some RS4 coil conduits to get rid of the red since I went with blue coil packs. Just waiting on the coil connector pin removal tool.

Forced induction and the C7 356mm rear brakes hopefully really near future. I’ve gotten pretty good on stashing money from the wife for car parts.

Not new to Audi but new to '25 A5

New member here. I owned a '17 A4 Premium Plus S-Line for 9 years. Aside from the occasional repair it was a fantastic car. Previous Audis were '09 A5 Coupe, '11 S5 Cab and '15 S5 Couple. I finally traded for a '25 A5 this week. Here are few quick pics. Loving this car!
