    anyone running devils own, w/m injection on stage 2 not tuned for it? what are your thoughts and gains on it?

    You will notice a difference even if un-tuned. Especially in the summer or after multiple pulls. My buddy runs meth un-tuned on his stage 2 and it absolutely made a difference because of the lower iats. He has the vast (devils own) kit.

    I had great results with a customer wanting methanol on his K03 setup... Reason being, it helps when you're pushing the turbos out of their efficiency range, and when you are running 13-15 psi at redline with K03s, they are beyond their efficiency range and blowing hot air. The WM really helps cool that hot air, and you can maybe bump the timing a bit also.

    Best thing to do is to get it, log it with ECUx, and see what you can do. If your ignition retard is low and knock looks good, you can bump the timing up a little as long as your fueling looks ok via O2 sensors.

    I had made lemmiwinks tweaks on my giac tune b4 the meth.When I added the meth kit, my first logs showed slower fats. That was just my experience tho...

    Fair enough. Here you guys go. Run 1 was no meth, 2 3 and 4 were a 50/50 mix of distilled water and meth. I have a suspicion that there was an air pocket in the line for run 2. Runs are in order they were logged on the same road, back to back, with 5 min breaks between each. I'm a 2000 with a stage 2 apr chip, stock DP's, twin 2, stock intercoolers, ard bi-pipes (the big ones), and a bad N75 (I think) which is causing the boost fluctuations. Couple other little things here and there too but nothing that would effect performance. Car was full of stuff coming back from school, so easy on the slowness hate lol.

    Jesse shut your mouth and install your kit already. Also Settings were on at 8 psi, full blast at 11. 2 #4 nozzles.

    5.78 fats, is that on stock mode? It appears meth acts as crack for an apr file, lol... Not much action to ur iats tho, I saw a 40 deg drop, but I'm in Florida.... Thanks for posting

    I've got the Devils Own kit (had for about 2 years) and have loved it. Trunk mounted 2.5 gallon tank, run 50/50 mix typically. I'm not tuned specifically for the w/m, but with my current tune I run around 4.5-4.6 FATS typically, with CF's from 0-3. Obviously room for tuning to take advantage of the w/m.

    No thats what a car full of shit and a bad N75 get you I suppose. My car is on apr weak sauce though, so its not really fast... The runs were back to back pretty much, so you would see a huge increase in IAT's normally without the meth. This time it was cold so I guess the stock IC's could handle one run without too much heat soak.

    Thanks for posting the data. Three things stand out to me; one is that your data was collected on a car with a faulty boost control valve. The other is that your car is progressively becoming faster, consistently, with each pull. In fact it is ~5% faster each subsequent time that you log it. Third is that the EGT's on the stock pull began 75C higher than any other pull, and that is before the w/m began injecting. It looks like w/m should be coming on at 2300 rpm (8 psi), and by then the EGT on the stock pull is 600C while on the three w/m pulls it is at or below 525C.

    Based on the information you've provided I would not conclude that w/m injection is making the car faster. It does look to be doing a great job at holding the IAT's in check which would make the car more consistent than if the w/m weren't installed.

    ^ is why I use w/m - for the cooling. I've logged EGT temps (OK, calculated EGT temps, but figure they are representative) and I seem to recall ~30-40 degree drops in EGT temps with w/m on

    The consistency in power is what I really wanted out of the setup, as I didn't want to upgrade intercoolers with my stock K03's, and given I track the car for ~30 minute sessions, the w/m guarantees everything stays a little cooler and power is consistent. I've even gone so far as to chill my 5 gallon w/m tank in the freezer the night before an event down to 0F - keeps things VERY cool ;)

    Interesting the requested boost is as low as 14psi at 4000 rpm... I think my tune requests about 20psi at that point!

    I'm trying to do the same..I just purchased the vag cable and I get a strange code..I have had the w/m for sometime and now I want to tune for the extra meth...
