    New Rotors Same Pads?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I've had my B7 A4 set up for about 10,000 mi now, am going to be switching to S4 JHM rotors. Can I keep the same pads (Hawk HPS) and rebed to the new rotors, or am I better off getting new pads too? I'm considering swapping rotors for the winter season and snow tires so buying another set of pads isn't a biggie. Any expert opinions welcome.

I presume you either already have S4 calipers, or you have the Carrier needed to properly space the caliper for the S4 rotors right?

Here is what I would do and what I told my friend to do in a similar situation with new BBK rotors ready to go on but plenty of pad and rotor life left.

Just wear out the old pads while saving up for new pads or in my case live out the old pads so u can toss em.
Then apply new rotors and pads to vehicle for delightful results.

Unless there is something wrong with your current rotors; this seems to be a matter of patience...
Enjoy the hardware on a desk for a while till u have the new pads ready.
