Well, here we go! Got the Vogtland Coilovers a month ago from Actuning. Had to wait to put them on for a few different reasons. Now that Spring is here I have got them on finally! These coilovers seem better than my B7 Koni's and certainly look better and beefier as well:

Pre-Lowering:



26 3/4 was the gap on the fronts and 26 1/2 on the rear.

Vogtland coilovers are pretty nice looking units!



Put the fronts on first:




Then moved to the rear setup:





Front measurement pre-lowering was 26 3/4 Inches fender to ground:




Rear measurement pre-lowering 26 1/2 Inches fender to ground:




Post-Lowering front measurement 25 7/8 Inches fender to ground:




Post-Lowering rear measurement 26 Inches fender to ground:







Immediately the car feels better! The stock S-Line struts and shocks are garbage. Sachs makes crap. This has been the best mod so far! Love the suspension! LOVE IT!! Thanks Actuning!

Overall, lowered the car around 3/4 of an inch up front and around 1/2 an inch in the rear. She will settle a bit more in the coming weeks I am sure.

What width are those wheels? They look wider than the peelers on my S-line, but maybe it's just a different tire brand causing an illusion. My 255 width tires don't flare that much at the sidewall (they are almost vertical or flush with wheel face).

Looks good, but very little change for the cost...

The ride was SIGNIFICANTLY changed. It was worth every dollar. Change is in the handling not the friggen look.

AND I got them on sale at Actuning. Paid less than your H&R's I am sure. Plus they are arguably a better brand.

Phantom Black Pearl Effect. The mechanic used great care with the rear set-up. Will keep you all posted.

Great service and great staff as well! I will certainly be visiting them again! Had the car done in less than an hour. What a difference that Stage 1 tune does for this engine!!

I'm curious about that too- what oem suspension you had. I've had my eye on the vogtland coilovers, much for the reports of their ride quality. Thanks for the feedback.

Yup. S-Line. Complete garbage compared to the Vogtland Kit. Seriously, the Vogtland Coilovers are extremely pleasing. I have had Koni, H&R's (Real good on my A4 Jetta) but they are night and day different. You won't regret the purchase of Vogtland's.

Just curious (because I just had vmr wheels installed a week ago), are you getting any steering wheel vibration/shudder post install? I'm going to try having them balanced again, just wondering you're having any issues.
