Really what you should understand is that they don't "offer" a full kit for our cars. The transverse S3 turbo sits on our longitudinal 2.0T just fine with a custom right side motor mount, which is not any more difficult than installing your DV in a different location. In short, all the K04 kits for the transverse motor are just fine for the longitudinal platform, and there are actually quite a few guys out there running them. The KOR is a K04 stuffed into a K03 body, but they use the upgraded wheel which flows better than the OEM K04 (i.e., 988 version vs. the 907 version). And the KOR is a great turbo! Which is to say, the 988 K04 is a great turbo. Just comes down to what body you want to run the 988 K04 blades in. The KOR has a advantage of fitting the longitudinal platform without any modifications, the 988 with the Borg Warner K04 body requires a different motor mount ($145 from 034) and a different exhaust flange (I had a totally new high flow cat made with the S3 flange, $345 from 034). So the total difference is about $500 cheaper to stuff the KOR in if you get your K04 from APR ($2150 or $1950 during the spring/fall sales) and the 988 is actually the same price or slightly cheaper than the KOR if you don't want the machined body from APR or REVO ($1299 from Full Race for the 988 K04). So it is like everything else on our cars, the approach is special for each car, and the little differences is what makes the car YOURS vs some other guy's down the block.
