I could write something cliché and insightful, but that would be too cliché and insightful.

    6.5 all around?

I have 2 front door speakers 2 front door tweeters 2 rear door speaker and 2 rear door tweeters plus a sub in the cargo area.

I miss my BOSE in the S4 and I was thinking of replacing all the speakers and installing a 10" type R

wait we have a center speaker in the dashboard?

can i use wires from the 8" sub as a input cable for the amp if I was to run aftermarket sub?

I put Alpine Type R's with crossovers in the doors and it really woke up the system. As I recall I had to do some jury rigging to get them in properly. It's been a few years so I don't exactly recall. I also did the get more bass secret cookie that I found somewhere here in the forums. My stereo sounds very nice with excellent balance. The rear deck 8 inch sub is just OK. If you want real power in the low end so people next to you here, thump, thump, thump while you're at the lights then you'll need a sealed 12 inch sub in the trunk with an amp.

Emil: There are sub amplifiers that will take speaker level inputs. The key will be to get a sufficiently sized switched power feed to the amp.

lol I know all about thump thump but that was in my B5 S4 where we had to tap into bose amp to get feed line to the aftermarket amp in the trunk.
I was wondering where would I get the wires to go into the amp from? My car has no bose now and its just regular cheap stereo. Ideally I would like to replace every speaker in the car with Polk Audio but I dont want to hack a lot of parts and risk of ruining newly purchased car :(
If i was to take wires from 8" sub and use them as a feed to the Amp would that work?

Emil: I suggest you go to a car stereo place pick out a sub, enclosure and pay a few $ to have them do the install. Maybe even a local Best Buy can handle that level. As for the door speakers all you have to do for simplicity is to get ones from Crutchfield in the guaranteed to fit catagory. Then you can pop of the door cards and plug and play the new speakers. There's instructions for that all over the forum.

I think I might do that actually. We have a local shop that installs stereos so I will give them a try and see what they say. I might even try bestbuy since one of my good friends works there
