Damn! I haven't seen your S4 for a while and it's looking even better than before, Bill I hope you and your wife will be able to make it to Waterfest next year.

    Hey Kris,

Yes, it has been a while and thanks for the props. I cannot say wifey and I will be at Waterfest for 2017.

I am debating on trading MonSoonHell in for A) 2018 R8 (supposedly coming out with the V6 Twin Turbo). B) 2018 RSQ5 (unknown horspower and torque) or C) 2018 Ford Raptor. My actual goal is to garage MonSoonHell next to my hot rod Lincoln, and see if the value goes up by having a manual (as we all know the manual is going the way of the dinosaurs).

    Decisions Decisions....

Happy 2017 everyone. It has been a while and a lot has happened with MonSoonHell on a positive note. She is undergoing surgery as I type. She is scheduled for completion tomorrow (Saturday). During my last oil change, it was observed that I had 3 different locations of an oil leak. 1) rear main seal, 2) oil cooler and 3) oil pan. Since the transmission had to come down, I was thinking at 65500 miles, why not upgrade the clutch and possibly flywheel.

I purchased Eurocode's Stage III clutch assembly and Audi's dual mass flywheel. All three oil leaks were fixed.

With all the mods installed on MonSoonHell, she is practically a better and improved new(er) vehicle. Some other pictures...

Stock clutch was holding up pretty well.

    Flex Plate teeth looked perfect..

I have more pictures taken by my shop as I could not be there during the initial break down and when the parts started coming in. So when I receive them I will update this thread.

i am seriously looking for a new or newer vehicle to purchase. Vehicles I have looked to purchase is the GTR, older Audi R8, new Audi S6, Jeep Trackhawk, Chevrolet Grand Sport or Z06 Corvettes, Ford Shelby 350 Mustang or Raptor, and lastly the Dodge Charger Hellcat or Challenger Demon. I even looked at the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. I have been busy reviewing these vehicles and even going to a few dealerships to look at them in person. I am looking to purchase a new or new(er) vehicle as an early retirement gift to myself. I never thought I would be this close to retire. Soooo, if i were to purchase another all wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle, I really will not need MonSoonHell. So, for someone looking for a damn near perfect, manual transmission, Prestige S4...look no further. I plan on pulling the trigger soon on a new or new(er) vehicle.

Well, things in life always guide you in the direction you have to take.. And as I have been shopping around and my retirement is creeping closer, it appears the new car for me was right in front of me all along. It was more than I was wanting to spend, but it is definitely an investment. This purchase just took place last week. I do not want to post pictures yet, as it is getting a new clutch installed, being wet sanded and detailed. Plus I need to go to DMV and get my plates.

Instead of having, now three set of rims for MonSoonHell, I will only need two sets. One set for Fall and Spring and the other for Winter. My new(er) vehicle will be for Summer.

I can tell you the following...This vehicle is older than MonSoonHell. This vehicle is clearly not stock, it has everything I would have purchased and installed, had I purchased it stock. Manual transmission, of course. Runs on E-85 and can be switched back and forth from Premium fuel. It is tuned by Cobb. It has twin turbos and is AWD. It is a two door vehicle, with a rear spoiler sitting above the engine. If you guess the vehicle, I will post a picture(s)...

Damnit Pilfer... I was wanting to see the guesses. LOL. I guess the fact that you have a a 997 and "the rear spoiler sitting above the engine", was probably a big clue. But as promised, here is a picture of her. Introducing BloodyHell.

The harsh cold weather we are having in New York has taken a toll on the ACCU-Air/Air Lift system in MonSoonHell. The front air lines froze, which I couldn't drive her until days later. Well, it annoyed me so much, I am having the system removed and going with KW V.3's.

I believe I am done with showing MonSoonHell in car shows. Cars and Coffee and being my winter daily is set for her future. BloodyHell will be my summer ride.

So if someone is looking for a great ACCU-AIR/Air Lift combo system, which worked great 99% of the time, I have it. NOTE: If it goes below 20 degrees you may have trouble like I did. In the previous winter seasons the system was fine. This winter has been brutally cold. I will come up with a thread in the classifieds for the system, stay tuned.

just saw this, car looks good. What suspension do you have? I just had Eibach Springs installed on mine and I want it to be lower. I'm going to wait for the PASM to go before I get coil overs though.

Thanks! This was a California car, built and modded by BBi. When in New York, she received additional modifications by Real Auto Dynamics. Her suspension is comprised of the following: KW Club Sport Coilover Set, Tarret Front Top Mounts, RSS Front Adjustable Toe / Bump Steer Kit and Eibach Adjustable Front & Rear Anti Roll Bars.

I was looking at Bilstein coil overs with electronic dampers to utilize the PASM sport button on the dash. I want to buy an RS4 now though so everything’s on hold.

I created a For Sale thread in the Classified forum for the complete air system that was installed in MonSoonHell. Please note that I am negotiable with the selling price. Don't hold it against me with the price I entered, I had to start somewhere. The system worked fine (well, above 20 degrees...LOL) and if you are wanting to take your ride to the next level, especially if you show your car, this is the kit you want.

Here are some pictures of the KW V.3s installed in MonSoonHell and don't bash me on the dirt...we had snow storms, rain and even a Nor'easter.

I have nothing negative to say about the KWs, except that the rear settles faster than the fronts when installed. We adjusted them twice so far and they apparently settled again. Other than that, MonSoonHell is simply a get in, start up and not have to worry about frozen air lines again. And just as my luck would have it, after the install of the KWs, the temperatures have been above freezing. The sale is pending on the AccuAir/AirLift system. I hope the buyer has fun with the system as I had.

Stay tuned for more mods with MonSoonHell and BloodyHell.

If someone can guess the name of the person who is the "main star" of the show OverHaulin' and what ability they possess, I will provide a special picture of BloodyHell. (HINT... this "male" star is known for having a special ability and did it on every show. It has nothing to do with building cars or having his own production of rims/wheels). Hopefully these new hints will get the answers.

I am quite sure you will be impressed with the special picture once you see it.

Adrienne or AJ? Wasn't she an actress or in a Fanta commercial or something? Otherwise it could really only be Courtney, who did something with a golf show, IIRC.

I edited my question and apologize for not being clear. The question should be pointing towards a male and it is not AJ. I added another hints to my thread above with the question. Thanks for the props!

Alright...I have to report about my KWs. I should have done some homework on them prior to my purchase.. instead I went with the recommendation of my shop. I am finding that since 2011 it has been reported that the rear springs in KW kits have a major defect/problem in that it will make the rear of your S4 sag. Apparently, the springs they use are crap. I had STaSIS springs before and will look to see if i can use them again with the KWs. If not, the trick is to use Avant rear springs. With the threads here in Audizine about the KWs, and their lack of customer service to properly fix the issue, I am not sure how anyone can recommend them. I am seriously considering replacing them with another brand. MonSoonHell's build has always been interesting and has had many ups and some downs, but this latest purchase of coilovers from KW...is sure as hell as definite down. Lesson learned.

In closing, if you are thinking about coilovers...unless KW come out on their website about fixing this issue, STAY AWAY... Let me end this rant this way... If I choose to go with another brand of coilovers, I would not sell my kit to anyone, as this kit doesn't work properly.

Here is the thread about them..

Before you give up - maybe just swapping out the springs themselves - In the Subaru world the springs rates were horribly wrong for the KWs - but the easy answer was to swap out the springs with a Swift Spring:
    http://www.swiftsprings.com/products...lover-springs/

Might be a simple call to them - as I would bet they already know of KWs stance on the issue and have a spring that will resolve it....

I do agree it is certainly frustrating to deal with - but don't throw the baby out with the bath water just yet....

Alright...I have another toy or daily driver... say hello to EcoHell.

This is a 2018 Explorer Sport with the 401a package in White Platinum. Sticking with a boosted vehicle.

    Almost fully loaded...

The other news is that I retired with 30 years of service to our great country on July 7th. However, I was interviewed for another law enforcement position...so fingers crossed. This one is political, so 50/50 shot, as I was the only person interviewed with federal service. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer...we are finally receiving summer weather here in NY.

Does anyone else have an Explorer Sport?

Yes, I still have the 997 and I still have an Audi. Traded in the Audi A7 and now have a 2018 Audi S5 Coupe. Will take pictures of her soon. MonSoonHell has found a new home and will be pampered as I had pampered her. Just saw her today and actually regret selling her. She still has the European plate on her..

Congrats and thanks for your service.

Saw your ride while I was over at RAD. The pic might ring a bell... it was at a meet in five towns back in 2012. You had your laptop out helping anyone who asked. Pretty sure you had a Stasis exhaust back then too.

That's the only pic I have from the meet but figured you might remember.

I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

Thank you for the congrats and it was a pleasurable 30 years of service. Yes, all of my vehicles are at RAD if not weekly definitely monthly. And yes, I do remember that meet you mentioned and yes, I just had the STaSIS products installed.

I always tried to help my fellow Audi brothers and sisters...I actually enjoy seeing Audi owners smile when they get vag-commed...LOL.

Hmmm...if you want more pictures of your ride at that meet...here you go:

That is all I had with your vehicle at that meet.

Hey everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. My retirement life has been enjoyable and looking forward to 2020. The RS Q8 has my eye.. damn Audi's always seem to pull me back in. On other news... anyone interested in purchasing a sport yacht on Long Island, give me a shout. No time for the boat..would rather it go to someone who will enjoy her. I will throw in a year at the yacht club and you get my boat mechanic that knows the boat inside and out.

Porsche is undergoing additional mods this upcoming week..and awaiting my new rims.. so I will post additional pics. Lastly, MonSoonHell has undergone some major upgrades as well..more info on her coming as well.

When the weather is nice.. BloodyHell comes out to play.. If the weather is nice, I will be at the OBI and/or Capture on Sunday mornings. If I plan on going, I will PM you.

Where are you located? My recommendation would be to get a 996 Turbo or a 997 Carrera 4S or Turbo.
