Just a heads up....I just purchased another set of rims for MonSoonHell. This will make my 3rd aftermarket set. They should be here the week before Waterfest 20. I plan on installing them for the show. What I can tell you is that they are a custom 3 piece setup. 19 x 10s. Will have 275s on them.

The CCWs will become my winter setup. Stay tuned...

Ok...my new custom 3 Piece rims arrived on Friday 18, 2014. Last minute change modification before Waterfest.

You know MonSoonHell with the CCW SP20 rims, 19x10, offset of 33.

Let me re-introduce to you the new MonSoonHell:

I apologize for the crappy cell phone pictures, however, there will soon be a flood of better pictures arriving. On Saturday, the rim manufacturer conducted a photo shoot of MonSoonHell at Waterfest. But the specifics of the rims are:

    Niche Wheels
    3 Piece Step Lip
    19x10
    Offset - 32
Inner Rim (Barrel) is powder coated Black.
Outer Rim is a polished Step Lip.
Center of Rim is mesh style in Brushed Aluminum Grey.

As the center of the rim does not touch the step lip, it appears to be floating..

Let me share even more information...

Yes I had a car show board made by CarShowDepot.com. You get extra points in car shows for having one.

I ended up in Second Place....woo hoo

These photos were taken by Fourtitude. Much appreciate the photos...awesome photo skills.

Ok...one thing I did not mention above was that the one millimeter difference between the CCWs and Niche, was enough to have a very light rubbing issue, actually more like a chaffing issue. It was enough to rub the tire shine off the tires, nothing more.

After Waterfest, I had my shop roll my fenders again to attempt to eliminate the light chaffing/rubbing. Unfortunately it was not enough. Night and day difference, however there was a very light chaffing occurring when hitting a deep dip in the road. Speed bumps, even some little potholes, did not cause any rubbing. Being anal, a perfectionist and just wanting to being different in the car game, I purchased new tires. I wanted to keep the 275 width, that was a must. I had to go with 275/30/19s all around.

This cured the light chaffing issue. Another light at the end of the tunnel is wifey's A7 will be receiving aftermarket rims with my 275/35s. I mean, I cannot have those tires go to waste, can I?

    Pictures of the 275/30s:

I recently met phoneboy6 and hooked him up with some VAGCom mods. He returned the favor and removed my rear badges on MonSoonHell. I have aftermarket badging to replace the stock ones, which are black in color. However, the "no badge" look is growing on me...

    Thoughts?

    A4 or S4, isn't she sexy?...LOL!

I will use some tape for the black audi rings and take pictures over the weekend...and make a decision to permanently install them or not. Thanks for your thoughts..

Hey man, we talked at Waterfest about the tire situation, glad you figured it out and the 30 profile looks right at home!

Nice build man! I used to use MNC performance a few months back when I had my 335 but will be using RAD for the Audi.

Thanks for responding. I remember the discussion. Unfortunately, it took more fender pulling, which made it better, but not eliminating the scruffing. The new tires did the trick.

I can't stop with the modding of MonSoonHell. I had the APIKOL Rear Differential Mount (red bushing) installed two weeks ago and yesterday had the 034 Motorsports Transmission Mount Insert installed. I unfortunately do not have any pictures of the Apikol bushing installed.

Sorry for the crappy phone pictures...

And speaking of boats (last post), I just purchased a Sea Ray 370 Sundancer. This Tuesday (Veterans Day), I am finalizing the deal. Had the Pre-Purchase Survey conducted last week and meeting with dealer afterwards to discuss our findings. Dealer is taking care of 95% of the issues, plus winterizing for two years...woohoo. I cannot praise the dealer enough..treating us as if we purchased a new boat. Thoughts?

Wifey and I saw her at a recent boat show on Long Island and could not believe how clean she was...given her age. The motors (7.4 mercruisers 454ci) were recently removed for a rebuild having new heads and oil pans installed. They were dyno'ed and produced spec numbers. The transmissions were rebuilt as well. New propellers, with the shafts dialed in. Repacked bearings in the rudders and cutlass shaft bearing are in great shape. Anyhoot...the boat comes with two refrigerators (cabin and cockpit), 2 tvs (to be replaced with flat screens). I will receive her in the spring, after being winterized, with a full tank of gas (woohoo...given the fact she has a 275 gallon tank), new batteries, continuing training (taking advantage of this), blah, blah, blah...

Thanks. Wifey and I were actually going to buy a RV. We had been looking for over 6 months. However, Babylon Village states you must park your RV behind your house so it cannot be seen from the front.

You remember my backyard right?? LOL...where can I park it?

I have the boat driveway on the other side of my garage, however, just about all villages on the south shore of Long Island has a marina attached. SoO they promote the boating lifestyle. Makes them money. The only places I could park it, was behind my brother's office (large industrial area, good security, just not secure enough for me) or park it with my old man down in the Villages in Florida. Pretty much killed that dream. So we needed something larger than a 30 footer to match the size of the RV, at least in the cabin. And within one month of looking at boats, we found this beauty. The last owner was more anal than me when it comes to keeping things clean. There was absolutely no mildew smell or mold in that cabin. My pictures were taken from my phone...so details aren't coming through. The one thing you gotta hate about Long Island is the boating season is less than 6 months long (usually). Come on Global Change..heat it up...LOL!!!

How you been? How is the wife and family? Haven't seen you in a while.

Thanks for the response. We are actually getting a killer deal with this purchase. My payments are less than MonSoonHell's. Plus she is a tax write off (second home).

Lol yea that'd be hilarious trying to get an RV in there somewhere. The rules and regulations we live by on Long Island are ridiculous... Most don't make sense and appear to have been created because one person complained enough times at some point.

All is well man. Just busy as can be working my life away as usual. We def need to catch up, sounds like a lot is going on for you!

I envy you...at least you get to see your boat everyday. The village enforcers will ticket me if I keep it in my other driveway. I sorta wish I purchased a smaller boat. Hopefully, we won't have a bad winter, winterized or not...getting old with the amount of snowfall we've been having years past.

I just wanted to let everyone know I will be installing three more mods to MonSoonHell. If you have been keeping up with the group buys lately, I purchased the AMS Alpha Audi Boost Cooling system. That is one mod. The other two will be surprise mods. All three mods will be installed prior to Waterfest 2015.

Of course there will be pictures, so stay tuned. Ohhh, there will be more pictures of my boat. She goes into the water April 3. Isn't she sex on the water???

I am shortening my response to your question, not fault to you, but Audizine pissed me off as I was responding back to you in a lengthy response and after hitting the Submit button, they did not post my response but rather provided me a "maintenance" message.

So the shortened version is.... Price of boats the size I purchased, yes are expensive, new. But used is not as much as you described. If Colorado is pricing these type of boats that high, purchase one in New York or Florida. Keep in mind, that if your boat has a cabin, head and galley (microwave/sink) it is considered a second home and is a tax write off. That was one factor in our purchase. Another factor is one can finance up to 20 years. We chose 15 years for financing for our boat. Our monthly payment is lower than my monthly payment on MonSoonHell. We gave up our typical two cruises a year to offset the price of fuel for our boat, that equates to 20 fill ups a year.

The market works in our favor for purchasing boats right now. Well, I can speak for Long Island at least. There may be a lot of people with boats, however, there are lots of "for sale" signs on them at Marinas. These boats are remaining at the dock/marina more than actually being in the bay/ocean. The price of fuel for boats is no picnic. Hell for our boat each fill up is over $1000.

Ok...to answer your question. I have 26+ years as a Federal Law Enforcement Agent. 18+ years of that as a Supervisory Federal Agent. I have 27+ years of government service total to date. The main reason why I can afford what I have... no ex-wife(s) and no children. Then again, I have 33 kids at work... I married my career. Do not think I had these toys starting out in my career, hell, I didn't start vacationing until hooking up with wifey in 2002.

And Audizine - perhaps a heads up when you plan on conducting such maintenance on the website, like a sticky on each of the forums. Very frustrating. If you do this, my apologies, as I will look for it after hitting the submit button on this response...

It has been a blast so far and I highly recommend a field in law enforcement. Unfortunately, it is not for everyone. Annual qualifications to quarterly qualifications (my agency) with respect to fitness and shooting. But the pros definitely out weighs the cons. I have been around the world three times (at least). I have been involved in major accident and terrorist investigations. 20 years of service to retire..is a big plus. Being a Fed, I can carry for life.

The only place you can go for a federal position now is USAJOBS.GOV. Type in Law Enforcement in the search engine and look for what you want. You can specify location, pay, etc.

Last word for advice...do not think getting into the government is an overnight ordeal. It will take a least a year after they advise you that you made the BQ list. The main reason for this..for a law enforcement position is your clearance (I have Top Secret). The clearance normally takes up to a year, however, it can take longer.
