    B6 S4 Strange Cold Start Noise

    I’ve noticed recently my S4 has been making a noise only on cold starts and last only a couple minutes. The noise sounds like a belt tensioner is going bad but just replaced them. Alternator? Secondary Air?

    I noticed that the noise is coming from a vacuum leak or something because once you start revving it the noise goes away. I dropped a brand new crate motor in 11k miles ago so its most likely not the intake flap

    What do your fuel trims look like? have you reseated your injectors? I had that noise and it was due to a injector not seated all the way down.

    So did mine. just happened to notice it was not pushed in all the way. noise went away, just a thought.
