Sold a set of stock 5 spokes painted with a rattle can to fund the piano black powder coating on another set of stock 5 spokes as winter wheels. Now should I keep the center caps grey or paint match them and paint the rings in the caps chrome with a small brush afterwards?

Chris, assuming you are talking about the stock split five spokes... you can gently pop out the chrome rings and the chrome ring from the center caps. I used a pick took and needle nose pliers to assist me. I would recommend doing that versus trying to manually paint anything chrome later on by hand. I would try to have the powdercoat shop spray the center caps after the chrome pieces are removed (if they can spray plastics; and assuming you want the entire wheel all black).

I had my set Powder coated and just rattled canned the centercaps myself. In hindsight i would want the rings on the center cap silver if i had to redo it.

    Little stuff for day one!

Front filler plate replaced (old one had a license plate holder, no need for that)
Carpeted the wood cover for the tank/air setup

I have the non-split 5 spokes from the B6 or early B7's, I noticed I could remove the rings but I need to dremel the pins inside. I think I'll tell him not to paint them and I'll do it myself once the rings are removed. Ty for the imput Mikee

Camera angle and I managed to put the carpet down wrong haha. It sits level, and the cover does as well.

It's a gas line. You can see the black iron pipe going up the wall, and then the flexible line connecting that to the heater. The flexible lines are still somewhat rigid. An electrical cord would be floppy and loose. Like Martin

You got a better trap than both of these runs and hair better ET than bhvrdr.

All you have to do now is get better than 13.7 and you will be the fastest known k04 car!
I think that is easily doable with practice.

I can't use the 2-step launch control in Maestro as long as I have a cat. I was just revving the car to 5k ish and trying to catch the upswing. I quickly found that dumping the clutch results in lots of spinning/wheel hop. I got two runs with an almost 2 sec flat 60' by slipping the clutch more as I launched. I also have to shift at 6-6.5k into second or I have a 80% chance it won't let me into second and I blow the run. It goes in no problem if I just shift earlier. No issues with any other gears. I'm also going to raise my rev limiter to 7500 rpm to be able to cross the traps before shifting to 4th. I was on the hairy edge of that already with a 7200rpm limiter. I knew I built my head for a reason :-)
