The obvious solution is to make it not-stock.

What did you use to lower it? Coilovers are good for avants bc we can adjust the front lower to correct this look. If its just springs the avant will be lower in the rear bc the extra weight of the wagon

I think he was saying (IIRC), he is going to address the issue and that it still has the reverse rake look. You can tell a little bit in the pic. My reverse rake is a lot more noticeable. I am going to do the B5 spring perch mod this spring when I do my control arms.

It's lowered with Bilstein and H&R sport springs currently. I don't think it has reverse rake because it's a wagon, I'm pretty sure it has the reverse rake because it actually sits "level" and the front fender is a larger opening, and H&R springs don't account for the wheel gap, they just lower evenly front and back.

My plan to "address" the issue is these, which I just ordered. If I don't like the outcome, i'll buy coilovers, but for now this is my most economical option.

You are 100% correct. These cars only give the appearance of reverse rake because of the fender lines. If you measure the undercarriage you're probably even front to back. The rear fender line is a little over an inch lower than the front

I wish they made these for the rear. Id like to make it even by raising the rear a little. Makes me different. I know.

Can anyone confirm this? I was under the impression that spring rates actually changed for the avant and they are only VISUALLY lower in the rear.

For what it's worth, I do not have the reverse rake issue on Koni Yellows and H&R sport springs

It was already confirmed that he is wrong. Avants do have higher spring rates in the rear. The illusion of reverse rake is apparent on almost all modern Audis and it has to do with the wheel arches, not actual ride height

Agreed. I didn't like it at first but it didn't take very long for that to change. If it was available in a manual it could be a contender for an eventual unicorn replacement should we ever decide to move on (not likely though)

Very true. I could drive a TIP Audi, but I dont know that I would ever purchase one for myself. It would have to be a "proper" gear box.

Our first B7 was a tip. And while it was a nice car, it was just kinda boring to drive. The manual is simply so much more enjoyable.

I hated the new Allroad at first, thought it was hideous, then lowered ones with sick rim setups started showing up and now I think it's the sexiest Audi you can buy in the states besides the R8. It'll probably be my next car as long as I can hold on to the current avant for 5-6 years.

Still well below average, last report I saw had Northern Oregon cascades pegged around 60-70% of normal. Going to be a bad summer water wise.

True, guess I wasn't looking at overall. Mt hood is almost up to average, but that drops rapidly as soon as you get as low as about 4000 ft. Not looking forward to water issues.

What is your location? My detailer knows a lot of good people, or knows how to find a legit guy pretty much anywhere. I'm in Spokane WA.
