Don't worry about button number 4, I have bad EGT's and a new head unit. So on the way home from work I think my car was trying to say something to me...I really thought it was the end of the road and I was being told by a higher power that there was only 1 answer orrrr that some some crazy herbal tea I got from whole foods and someone should check that shit for extracurricular activities.

That's an awfully big leap. Some people do decide to mod their cars because they enjoy it you know? And Stage 3 can be anything from OEM RS4 power to a 700+ HP monster. Why on earth would you assume that somebody did it because the car was broken in the first place?

It's ZOMG STAGE THR3 B5 because it's 500hp in such an unassuming package, not to mention that a Stage 3 is going to be able to handle almost anything you'd encounter on the road. It's entirely possible that the turbos didn't shit and he just swapped them out. Doing that upgrade (the correct way) also gets A LOT of maintenance out of the way and, again, if done correctly, should make the car more reliable with double the HP.

And even then you have about 350hp. To me, it doesn't make sense to mod those cars (engine wise) past an intake and exhaust, the gains are not worth it for the dollar investment.

I used to have a b6 s4 and that thing can barely keep up with new camrys... A lot more expensive to mod a b6 with a lot less result. Coming from a b6, a B5 woops on a b6 all day way more fun to drive too. Although I do miss the v8 rumble.

hahah don't get me wrong I love my b6, especially the seats. But I thought it was fast as shit till I sold it and got my stage 3 avant. I also get 27mpg on the freeway.

I understand that the B6 S4 may not be fast. However, I have really enjoyed the driving feel. The steering is very firm and responsive. The stock suspension is very good, especially with the addition of an 034 RSB. The recaros are firm yet comfortable and do a phenomenal job of allowing the driver to feel the road. The V8 is responsive and toquey.
