pulled all the center caps and stripped, cleaned and prepped them all back to their original silver/charcoal -- and it really does a good job of breaking up the "black-hole-hovercraft" look of white w/black wheels ..... love how it looks now

Hello, B8!
Turns out I cannot live without a long roof. Traded in the 3.0T A6 this morning for this rare gem. Spent six years and 150k miles in my Ocean Blue Pearl 6MT B7 - which is headed to my oldest. Saw this Aruba Blue B8 Avant a few weeks ago and had to have it.
The good folks at Apex Tuning in Raleigh, NC, set me up with with new timing chains and an IE stage 1 to get this off on the right foot (see what I did there?) Fantastic single-owner car w/ a new lease on life.

Congrats on the new ride and kudos for taking care of the big ticket preventative maintenance! The tune really wakes up the 2.0T, I also recommend the Burger Motorsports pedal tuner, doesn't make you faster but the improved throttle response makes the car's performance feel like it's delivered more effortlessly. Enjoy!

Thanks! Didn’t even know that was a thing (glad it is). First orders of business are getting it protected - proper winter tires/wheels, PPF for the front clip and lights, undercarriage protection, roof rack and box. Then it’ll be addressing the MMI.

Entering bottom of the ninth for this “refresh” and exterior detail. Bought the car about 6 weeks ago and the exterior condition has been driving me nuts. Hard water spots everywhere (still on the glass)! Full paint correction, PPF half the hood forward. Threw down some Ammo Reflex Pro on the front clip and pulled it out for the brief sun break.

I can say that I'm not missing it.

What I don't get is why the QC police are ticketing ON drivers for window tint if they are permitted in ON and vehicles are registered in ON. Should ON police be ticketing QC registered vehicles for no front plate?
