Thanks! I've been split between doing coilovers (KW's) or just a full spring/strut set (Bilstein/H&R). But there be a new toy in the works so it's up in the air still ;)

Little updates...

-License plate filler, plasti-dipped the chrome strips.
-Smoked the silver/alumium trims and roof rail. Now has a dark chrome feel to it, still very visible in daylight but dark in low light...
-The tail lights are also smoked now...

What did you use to black out your chrome? Did you do a vinyl wrap?

That is totally sweet! Wish I had a Q5 of my own....wait a sec, my fiancé does!! Hmmmm.... That means I do too! Actually, my better half wants to mod her Q! Stasis will be installed at the end of the month and I know she wants a kit. Wedding or mods..... I'm really impressed with your Q's look! Can't wait to show her your pics!

lovely updates D_Frost. your roof rails, you spray painted them or wrapped? my next mod would be to blacken the roof rails and also the exterior door trimmings.

Thanks! I had them wrapped in case I want to change things up later (also less prep work). I was also able to preserve the roof rail holes in case I need to use the roof rack. In all, it took them about 5 hours to wrap it. Black would look good for your Q5.

yeah it's got to be black yo! haha, well anyway, i may change the color of my Q5, perhaps to yellow/black or red/black. the other projects as in the S5? well i cancelled the S5 Coupe order and swapped with 2010 S3 instead. simply because i wanna wait for the 3.TFSI coupe version for the S-Tronic gearbox hehe.

Also if it was me, I think I would paint the filler plate or something. Maybe its just me...but it kinda sticks out like a sore thumb on that badass front view.

As for the filler plate, I had thought about going gloss black... but what I'm really holding out for is a honeycomb mesh grille ;) Will definitely look more into it once suspension is done...

Hi all! I've been lurking in the forums for almost half a year...

Thanks to the many informative posts, I decided to get a Q5 a few months ago and have been having a blast with it!

The Q5 is definitely a great car with lots going for it... then the mod bug hit (I'm sure alot can relate) and this is what I have now...

It is done!! Thanks to Johnny at Platteforme for pulling through for me again. The KW Suspension Variant 2's took a few weeks for everything to be built and shipped... and now thanks to the guys at Achtuning, the Q is now sitting where it should've been for a long time ;)

Yup if the SQ5 comes here I'm in for it. I just keep hoping Audi does it. If not I like the new facelift with the 3.0 so eventually im sure I'll get a new Q. My wife said she will only drive a Q5 she loves it, I have no issues with that.

Currently at about 2" drop all around... suspension is still settling and will have further adjustment. Thanks!
