B8.5 Rattle when cold??

Took my 13 A4 into my local dealer for a rattle from the engine bay especially when cold. Sounds similar to the previous waste gate rattle. Service tech said the noise is common on the 13's. I find this hard to believe. Curious if anyone else with a 13 is experiencing the same thing. Noise only occurs under load and is quite annoying and loud. May try another dealer.

I have had this problem on my 2012 at 20k miles. Dealer re-torqued some of the nuts/bolts but it did nothing. I'm thinking a bad strut. Is worse when cold (-11F this morning).

Have an appointment at a different dealer set for next Thurs. It was 15 degrees on my way to work tonight and now I'm getting a fluttering that sounds like its coming from the turbo under load and when letting off the gas. Hopefully this can get resolved.

I noticed this also 2 weeks ago, it gets worse when colder outside, but mine seems to be "flopping". Went for a ride and told the GF to sit in the back seat to confirm it was coming from the DR RR wheel well. Calling the dealership on Monday to try and figure it out. Doesn't sound like tightening a few bolts will do the trick, IMO its a bad strut.

2nd Dealer and the same answer, Normal operating noise. Even the 13 loaner I had made the same noise. A lot less noticable though. Guess I just keep driving it and hope whatever is causing the noise causes damage or finally let's go. Guess that's what a warranty is for.

I have the same issue. Every time I take it in, the noise stops and wont do it for a tech, it did do it for the serivce advisor though. The dealership basically said it's going to get worse before it gets better. Did it a lot during the summer, stopped during the winter but I notice it doing that the other day when I stepped out of my car while it's running. Can't be heard inside the car. I'm going to record a video of it for the tech next time it does it.

I have had one for about 3 weeks now, and dealing with 30 degree weather here in Atlanta, GA; thankfully haven't had this problem yet. Do keep us updated on your progress though.
