check engine light

Hi i have searched here for a similar thread but I have not found anything. I have a 2007 audi a4 with 155xxx miles.
i have been noticing a exhaust like smell, as if the car was running rich, and i have a p0442 evaporative emission control small leak,
and a p0455 evaporative emission control large leak. Has anyone had these codes before? is there any common problems i should be looking for?

Check if your gas cap is okay. Do a smoke test otherwise.

Do some more checking, but I had these 2 codes. I changed my gas cap to a new OEM one, still had the codes below. After changing the N80 valve(very easy), they have not come back on.

P0442 - EVAP Emission Control Sys: Small Leak
P0456 - EVAP System: Very Small Leak Detected

I replaced my gas cap with a OEM one because it felt kind off loose. But it did not fix it. I will order the N80 valve and see what happens.
