Hopefully Ill get help from Frank. I seen in past thread that he was considering 8mm spacers with that set up, in which case I think I would be golden.

Look at the pics. No shot of 8mm further on that setup, trust me. Must have been a different setup. Test fit any wheels you can then compare on willtheyfit.com

After looking at one the ones w/ 17s I agree. I am looking for 18x9 or 9.5 squared or 18x9 and 10. I havent gotten a chance to measure clearance, but will an 18x10 ET35 clear suspension w/o poking too much? I dont mind a touch of poke, just not excessive

I wonder how the fitment would be on a WB as I been pondering on some larger wheels over the factory pie plates :)

Same here because i want the same amount of poke as FrankA6 without spacers with 20 inch rims and on the widebody a6.

Without spacers, it can't be done unless you go with custom wheels. Frank's running adapters (serving as spacers) on his narrow body, a similar setup on a wide body would just need larger spacers or adapters.

You can run a 10" or 10.5" wide wheel, that will take up some of the room without spacers, but you'll probably only get ET30 offsets, and you'd want something closer to 0, especially if you go with 9.5's.

I take it this a6 isnt quattro??? How can u run same size tires on two different size rims on a quattro??
    Shouldn't your sizing be
    235/35/18.....8.5''
    245/35/18.....9.5''

I came in here hoping to see fresh pictures of your avant. I am disappointed.

His sizing is correct, the tires will just have different amounts of stretch. I did the same thing with my previous set of staggered amg reps. I ran 225/35/19 f&r on 8.5f and 9.5r wheels.

Saw his car yesterday, he made me change my mind on my new setup, I want to go back slammed and obnoxious again.

Already found my next wheel, but it will need some work to make adapt to this car. And from what i've found in hours of searching, has yet to be done.

Spoke with a local VMR dealer and they said the can get the VB3's in whatever offset and 5x112 bolt pattern :)

Was thinking 19x9.5 front and back wrapped in 255/40-19 with 5 or 10 offset.

    Feasible ??

    Widebody?

If you are a narrow body car, then 255/40 is too big. You'd need 235/40 at the max, preferably 225/40 for the 9.5's to work. ET5 or ET10 is also too low for a narrow car, max it probably ET20-25 on a narrow car with 9.5's and even then, you might need a smaller tire.

On a widebody car, yes, that'll work fine.

Thats not 100% true. I have the wider body and i had snows that were 255/40/19 on my A8's pictured above and i couldnt even move the wheel when car was lowered off the jack. So overall i beleive it was 255/40/19 Et 45 no spacer and it would not work.

I now have 215/35/19 with a 25mm spacer and im good to go.

275/40/17 will fit on an 8.5" ET20 with only removing the top fender line screw in the front
