Central Locking System Busted

Thought I'd check here to see if i could fix cuz im not forking over $400+ to have working locks.

So here it is:

Locks work but i have to push em down and lock the drivers side with the key.
When i push lock/unlock the central locking pump can be heard in the trunk but nothing unlocks.
I opened the pump to check if the graphite thing was busted but everything appears to be fine with the pump unless it happens to be electrical.
I dont think its the actuators or anything to do with individual doors because its the same issue with 4 doors and the trunk.
What do you guys think? Anyone having similar troubles?

You might have a leak in the vac lines from the pump to the actuators, how long does the pump run for?

about 5-10 sec depends
and yeah thats kinda what i was thinking but i couldnt begin to guess where since it effects everything.
looks like imma have to rip into more of my panels

No thread jack. My pump just stopped working altogether last night. I checked all fuses and they are fine. Hitting junkyard today, hopefully I can find an older VW pump.

Anyone jnow if a vacuum leak would cause the pump to stop working entirely?

yeah it was definitely the pump. Mine looked fine at first glance but i took off the top graphite wheel and the bottom one was completely shattered.

oi wish mine was, now i have no idea what to look for, gas lid got stuck the other day too and i had to unlock it from the trunk.

If the pump was running for more than 10 seconds, the graphite disc was busted. I just got a pump from an old Jetta, seems a lot more solid. $10 at my local pick & pull. Hopefully I have time to install tonight.
