    Cabin Filter ... how many?

Hello guys, i'm planning to change the air filter and the cabin filter on my 2008 A6.
My question is : How many cabin (pollen) filters do I need to buy? Does the 08 A6 have 1 or 2 filters?

    thanks!

It has two, they are both in the same box near the passenger's left foot in the center console.

No you don't, there is a plastic cover under the glove box you remove that allows you to get to the pollen filters.

There are two filters, but the box you get at the dealer comes with two filters.

Hey guys, I was able to access the cabin filters without removing the glove box. I just wanted to try it before I actually buy the filters.. So it worked and now i'm gonna buy the filters and replace them.

    Thanks all!

I'm sure it was fun... the beers i mean.
if you do it without taking the glove box it takes less than 5 minutes.

BTW was it hard to remove the glove box? because I may have to do that since I want to extend the AMI cable to somewhere by the cup holder.

The glove box is easy to remove, it comes out with about 5 screws, three across the front and either two or three from underneath. When you take it out there will be a number of wires and fiber optic cables connected to the rear and top so be gentle. I recommend that you get a pillow or a towel to set the assembly on in the passenger footwell so you do not scratch it. There are a couple of places were you can feed out the extension cable for the iPhone without drilling. One is where a connector clips onto the top right of the glove box. If you are careful you can sneak a cable through the opening.
