    Thumbs up A simple gt28r ( gt2560-466541-4) build.

    Hi guys

This is a very basic gt25 build
    -rs4 clutch
    -motor and tranny mounts
    -custom 3 turbo back exhaust
    -custom manifolds
    -044 intank pump
    -60lbs injectors
    -water-meth
    -oil cooler
-and every thing you need for this type of turbos ( new sensors timing belt etc)
    - motor complete stock
    Target
The principal idea ... fast DD car
18-20lbs of boost ( rs4 clutch) for now.
why gt turbos? I bought them for cheap from a friend, my idea was to use ft turbos...but I could not pass the price.
    400-30whp-420-40lbs torque

Some pics ( later with the finished product I will post betters)
    Hope you enjoy.

looking great so far. my only question is why an rs4 clutch when the motor is already out? seems to me that you should just save and wait X amount of time and instal a twin disk or something along those lines. do u really want to pull the tranny down when you dont need to later down the road when you shouldnt need to? thats typer of power is addictive and unless u have super good self control u will likely be romping on it more than you intended on. i feel the clutch wont last too long, but im no expert. someone please correct me if im wrong. reguardless the install looks great, i love the manifolds makes me wish i would have gotten some with my 605 setup but i fail at life already. best of luck my friend

If the power goal is met and not exceeded the clutch should hold, although I'm a firm beleiver of doing it right the first time. With that said I would go up a level or two on the clutch.

interested to see where this goes.

I've got my build going somewhat similar to this.

RS4 clutch will hold just great for a DD at that power leve, but if you plan on the strip at all, definitely do not go that route. been there.. done that. .

I honestly don't see the point of this. It is cool and all that you got the turbos cheap and are making or getting the manifolds made for you. But you are gonna almost as laggy as my car, and not make more power than K04s. It is just absolutely pointless.

K04s are soooooo fast because of their area under the curve. You will not have any of that with this setup.

    Either way, good luck.

    Hi

This turbos got out of another s4 , wich was running 22-1 lbs( ebay modified manifolds , crush bent 2,5 exhaust ebay modified intakes stock filter box etc) was faster than a 997mk1 stock . I think it was arround 7x seg 100-200km I have to cheak the vbox. Its not a slow car by anymeans,of course my car will be slow 18lbs but as soon I got some time with the new motor in its going to be a nice DD.I f I want to go real fast I do have some other car for the job, but I do really like the ride on the s4.
hope this clears why the gt25 on stock motor.
    Thanks for the imput guys.

I don't think you fully understand. The turbine wheel on that turbo is huge. They do not spool up very fast. Link that with only trying to make 400whp. The car is going to be slower than a K04 car making the same power.

There have been a couple cars here on AZ that have used those turbos. They are running mid 3.x FATS times.

The power goals you want, are achievable on K04s with MUCH better low end TQ.

If it was my car, I would sell those turbo and just buy FTs or BW K04s.

I do wish you luck if you stick with it, just personally from experience with GTs, I wouldn't do it.

Those manifolds scare me. I hope you beveled the joints after tacking them.. It looks they were just welded super hot to get penetration.

You might be an S4 owner when......

Curious to know how the logs look after everything is dialed in. The stockers have been ~125mph on the R35...maybe more, but the record on a stock R35 was 10.8x @ 124.9x mph.
