    Newbie question: lug nut specs

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hi all, not sure if this is a stupid question but I just purchased a set of oem reps 18" et35. Problem is they didn't come with lug nuts.

Going to mount winter tires on. Question is I have the oem ti package 19" wheels. Will the lug nuts work on the new wheels? Or anyone know what specs lug nuts I have to buy? I want to get them before I go to the tire place as the tire place says he will have to order them and I want to get it all done on one trip.

    Thanks in advance!

It depends on who made the rims and whether they're designed for ball or cone bolts. Given they're OEM reps you should be fine. They'll definitely work with both VMR and Hartmann.

    OEM lugs:

    Seating: ball R13
    Thread: 14x1.5mm
    Shank length: 27mm

If you buy wheels first make
    sure the centerbore is 66.6mm

For 19x8.5 wheels, ET 35-45. ET 32 will fit nicely
but with 245/35R19 rubbers or less.

Just my advice, get rid of the "reps", after all you bought one of the safest 50k cars
out there. Make sure you get BBS, OZ, Borbet or similar to keep safe, stay away from
backyard forgeries and also the plethora
of obscure brands with teutonically resonating names made in dictatorships, they
may cost you and your family a lot more in an accident, there are photos here on the forum of
wheel spokes bent like spaghetti in 45mph accidents, JWL stamp or not.

I am just another newb too.
