Iphone 4 problems with dicelink setup

Hey guys just wondering if you have any insight on this situation. Basically whenever I connect my iphone to my icelink connector in my car I am unable to browse the ipod. I get a screen that looks like this whenever i click on the ipod icon:

Weird thing is I thought it was the dicelink connection up until my buddy plugged his AT&T iphone in and was able to browse the ipod perfectly.. I don't understand it, is there something different in the software between verizon and AT&T that one would let me browse the ipod and one wouldn't?

Also before when i used my ipod nano with the dicelink connection it would let me browse as well.

If you have any ideas lets hear them, i've basically hit a wall trying to figure this out. Thanks!

Are you on iOS 5? or 4.something? iOS 5 has introduced a lot of compatibility issues with stereo accessories that tends to screw with stuff like this until apple or dension fixes it. Check out dension's support site, maybe theres a firmware update.

Of course it could just be AT&T's superior 3g coverage...

That is normal, dont stress about it or get a different ipod set up, which allows to control it both ways

I'm not sure you quite understand what i'm saying... I'm not worried about it being not normal, I am trying to get it to work by changing the software somehow. I know the ipod cable is possible of doing it because my friend with an AT&T iphone was able to browse songs and for some reason I can't with my identical Verizon Iphone.
