I have been searching and reading for past 2 hours on cold start issue. I bought my 2005.5 b7 quattro 6spd about a year ago. Today it got down to about 20 degrees F and car is very sluggish to start 5-10 secs. I know there are tons of threads but just wanted opinion if someone else is having same issue. I'm waiting to hear back from dealer if the coils were already replaced under recall or not. I just bought an OEM battery 2 weeks ago because the original battery from 2005 was still in car and was "bad" according to Audi during their test, even though i noticed no difference with the new one. Either way the car is very slow to start now with the cold.
I saw some people saying the starter was their issue. Audi did a test when i advised them the new battery wasn't working as good as old battery so they tested the battery (new one) starter, and voltage and claimed all was working fine and gave me a print out of it too. That was of course when the engine was warm though and all that good stuff.
Does anyone have suggestions, or feelings as what to replace next because I refuse to deal with this all through winter or being stranded somewhere if it gets worse.
Thanks again of time.
