    Some HELP Please :)

    Hey Guys, So I came upon a rare oppertunity today at the dealer.
    Let me explain,
    So I was at the delaer this morning getting some new oil put in my S4, and the gentlemen infront of me started to talk. We got in to the normal stuff what we drove and this and that.
    Then I found out that he has an R8 and that he is swapping out his brand new (1500km) discs off his R8 and wanted to know if I wanted them..
    As anyone would of done not knowing if they would even work on my B8 S4 I took them in a heart beat.
    I am now wondering if the discs he gave me from his R8 will fit on my B8 S4 stock brakes?
    So if anyone knows anything about these fitting please let me know! :)
    BTW I got all 4 front and backs :)

    absolutely no chance in this lifetime that any of the rotors will fit and he was likely swapping them due to a vibration on braking, its a common issue on the r8's

    No the reason he was changing them was because he got a BBK system put on the car. So I guess we have to see if theyll fit as im gonna be trying this weekend.
    But was wondering if anyone had some informed input on this subject.

    S4 Brakes and uh yea..... uh wha?. . . . . .R8 Brakes swap to S4???? WTF? Do yourself a favor and start reading the S4 Forums. Sorry Bro ... they ain't gonna fit just bustin your stones... seriously do some reading out here to better familiarize yourself with your S4.

    Alright well thanks for the info. According to Audi Canada the entire R8 setup will fit on the S4 including calapers discs and everything else. So I guess ill have to wait and see until tomorrow when I go do my brakes :)

    see thats another story. the front will have a chance at fitting pending if theres a difference in offsets. the rear I'm very skeptical about but am def interested to see if it will work because if so the rears will be next on my list i just can't see the offsets being close. hell just to run the rear rs5 brakes on our car requires different sized hubs. did you need to order new hubs?

    But what about those who upgrade to BBK w/ upgrade calipers? Doesn't that change the swept area and clamping force as well?

    Companies (i.e. Stoptech, Brembo, etc.) that offer vehicle-specific BBKs engineer them specifically to the car they're going on. These companies adjust the brake bias with piston size, etc. to ensure that they perform as intended/are safe. What NWS4Guy is referring to is when you swap brakes from another make/model and use them on a car they're not intended for use on.

    would you consider this to be the same as the rs5 brakes on my s4? the part number of the master cylinders are the same
