    Looks absolutely incredible!

Why are you running different side walls on the front and rear? That's going to hurt your quattro.

If you're staggered, you want to make sure your overall diameter of wheel/tire is consistent. The sidewall height on tire specs is a percentage of the width of the tire so having different numbers (25 vs 30 in this case) doesn't necessarily mean they are different heights.

I see. The 305 would yield a lower percent and therefore a lower sidewall number, but still retain the same overall diameter as the 255?

A 255/30/20 tire has an overall diameter of 26.1".
A 305/25/20 tire has an overall diameter of 26.2".

In this case, the difference is 0.1" which is minimal. His quattro should be fine.

I guess over and under/inflating the tires would pretty much do the same thing too. Viva el Quattro!

you're allowed a 3% difference from front to back, side to side, but running different diameters is eventually gonna be bad for the diffs. a .1" difference wont make a difference, but anything more and eventually the differential speed gears will wear out and you're gonna start going through tires incredibly fast

It's not a good idea in any case, it's not only about overall diameter being different, it's also the difference in rolling resistance and rotational mass between the axles... It all adds up and upsets the handling dynamics. Best to stick to OEM rolling diameter, and same size/width on all four corners.

i wouldnt quite say oem but i agree it isnt a good idea. in my opinion when running a set of staggered wheels its in everyones best interest to just run the same tires on all four corners and just stretch the rears and poke the wheels all you audi guys are squares. try something different from oem for once!

    great looking wheels man

OEM tire diameter is used to calculate speed, everything from ABS to ESP expects this value to be fixed, so there is absolutely no reason to change it. Maybe you should read up on the subject, it applies to all modern cars.
