    Service Reset Won't Work

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    I've reset the Service display and it shows nothing but **/**. I am aware that it's supposed to do that for a little while until you drive it a bit, but I've driven it at least 300 miles since the reset and it stays the same. Initially, I reset it with the VAG Com, but a couple days ago I tried the normal way (hold wrench, turn on, hold 0,0). It still displays **/**. Anybody know what the deal is?

    try disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU

    Crap! I reset it again last night just to see if that would kick-start it. OMG 450 miles to go. Terrible!

    I don't know exactly but it resets on a time/distance schedule. Mine usually takes a few days to start registering again after a reset.

    I remember reading that it will take a wile in the manual, but ive actually looked to see when it resets, it will be back in another 5,000
