It's been a fun few years with the car, but a few weeks ago she bit the dust. Have a few things for sale if you guys are interested, wheels, clutch, projecters, etc.

BUT THEN THER WAS NOOO WAYYY

Doesn't look bad and I was fully prepared to fix it myself, but when the adjuster started adding on every little piece that needs to be fixed plus labor costs at the shop, she ended up being totaled. Funny how $~700 in repairs to you can end up being $5k+ to a shop.

Thanks for all the help over the years, I'm sure I'll be back.

I haven't asked yet. I'm in the process of raising the settlement price they're offering me on account of all the "additions". Right now it's at 7k, shooting to bump it to 8k. It's been a great car, but it has it's issues and I'd never be able to sell it for what they're giving me for it. Plus insuring a salvage title car is a PITA, not to mention the hit in value I'd take on it.

Sad to see that. I'm voting buy back. With good access to parts at a yard, that wouldn't take much to fix methinks. Car looks super clean.

Sucks to hear, man. Haven't seen you post in a while, but hopefully you will be back in an Audi. What damage was it really? Looks like a busted radiator (not sure what else got hit with the radiator) and new hood replacement to me?

Radiator, rad support, ac condenser, headlights (the tabs broke off), hood, "intercooler" (what the guy thought my DIY powersteering cooler was). Car was in pretty good shape, but had little nuances here and there.. she only had 105k

Sure I could fight them and try to keep it, but as a college student with a few grand worth of credit debt, this seems like a good opportunity to grab a chunk of cash and pay it all off to become debt free, maybe buy a more economically minded car for a few years till I can really afford a nice toy... I've been driving my parents Hondas for the past few weeks and getting in a car, driving, and not worrying about anything is kindof a relief

Buy Back for sure!! A friend just had to deal with this same thing on his vast st3 s4. Looked allmost exactly like your damage.. There should be no frame damage to that car. Just some parts, that sadly in our case cost more that your every day civic new, you should be able to source from online or pic-a-part. Good Luck and sorry to hear the sad news.

looks identical to my wreck, rebuild was $2500. u get deeper than you think. hood, bumper, rad support, radiator, ac condenser, both fans, upper and lower timing belt covers, did my timing belt water pump t stat at the same time, busted motor mounts, busted tranny mounts and brackets, coolant flange on the back of the head, etc etc. i still say buy it back man. you still most likely make a couple grand on top of buying it back and rebuilding. i know how u feel about the salvage title tho, luckily i didnt have to deal with that as i only had liability which forced me to rebuild.

depending on price , i would buy it back . Screw the salvedge title ,do what im doing with my totaled 98(500$ buy back). Make it a Autocross/ rallyCross car :)
