Thought some of you A8 guys would get a kick of this video of an A8 v 750 drag race

Keep in mind the BMW has quite a bit more horsepower, and a LOT more torque.

There will be two runs in the video, one with the BMW in sport, and one with it in ultra, or super, or whatever they call it. All passes on the audi done in dynamic.

No Manual shifts were made for either car. No brake standing was done for either car. Just a simple let off the brake then mash the gas test. 0-100mph tests.

As always, a completely closed course.

Before you watch, think for a second about how close you expected it to be.......and who would come out the winner?

Then watch. Let me know what you think. Not a scientific test....just designed to see which one would get up to 100mph or so from a mash on the gas pedal.

The Audi A8 is undoubtedly lighter than the BMW 750, and has better traction.

    I approve too!

As a BMW and Audi owner I can say that Audi wins from any perspective. All that BMW has is the name/prestige (not a fit for me).

have a few in the garage...
135, tons of fun. DCT/DSG works very well.
535x, shitty handling and road manner IMO. Prty quick, but auto transmission not so great.
New body 7X, i love it. they are freaking heavy though and the mileage is terrible. I have blow out/damaged 3 Run Flats though, which sucks.
I'd like an A7. Audi interior is still Supreme.

The A8 definitely took the 750 off the line...and then it never looked back. As unscientific as it is, still a fun little comparison.

This is the kind of thing that the executive type who has to be there NOW has to watch. You can probably still drink wine and put grey poupon on your sandwiches as they were racing
