    Oil changed with Conventional 5W-30..

    Hi,

My car was with my brother for the last two days and the oil change was due. So he went to valvoline and changed the oil with their regular high mileage motor oil, some sae 5w-30 max motor something..

I used to run Castrol 5w-40 and was thinking to change with the same when I comeback. My brother is not familiar with European cars and changed it with a regular one. LOL

    Will this cause any issues?

Anyway, I'm changing the oil on Monday again with Rotella T6 5w-40 or with castrol..:)

It's fine, I would get my money worth and at least drive it 3k miles. Maybe go 3k and send in a sample to blackstone labs and see what they say. Wouldn't go more than 3k on that dino oil.

Honestly speaking, I am not that feeling good with that oil in my car ..:)

I probably will get it changed on Monday with Castrol Edge 5W-40.

Id be more worried about the garbage filter they put on than the oil.

They put the K&N filter. Do I need to replace that filter too?

Maybe it's just me, but non-full synthetic is no bueno. If anything I would run the Valvoline SynPower. It cost more, but I ran that motor oil before.
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch
