    Wheelspacer on steel rims ?

    Hi,
today i tried to mount the Winter wheels on my A6 but it turns out the rims doesn't
    fit on the front axle.
Because of the HP2 Calipers there is not enough clearance between rim and caliper.
Funny part is, this wheels came with the car.
Long story short, the steel rims are 6x16 ET40 and my stock 5 spoke summer rims are ET35.
Is the problem solved if i get a set of 5mm wheel spacer to get enough clearance ?

    Thanks
    Frank

the actual design of the wheel makes a diff also not only the offset. have you done the brakes recently? i had 5mm spacers on mine and the wheels went on without problems once i did my rotors ant calipers the fronts no longer fit.
