    New to me 2002 allroad

I got myself a 2002 allroad a week or so ago and am loving it so far. It has about 150k on it and is in pretty good shape. Don't get me wrong though as I've read numerous posts (on here, vortex, etc.) about potential issues with the 2.7T, air suspension, and used Audis in general so I'm at least knowledgeable about the potential risks.

What I know is wrong with the car is that it has a slight oil leak coming from somewhere and occasionally the air suspension will give me the warning light (only happened twice but I'll still look into it). The way I figure it is that even if I put in $10,000 into replacing/fixing issues I'll still have a great car and really couldn't buy any new car for that price with everything the allroad has to offer.

Having owned (or been owned ) by a G60 Corrado for the last 12 years I know how to turn a wrench and am pretty good at fixing just about anything that will pop up (as I'm sure it will). Anyway, enough blather here is the car in all it's stock form. Things I need to start off are roof rack parts, cargo cover, rubber mats. Basically to get it ready from snowboarding season. Later I'll figure out other stuff I may want to do.

Damn, I didn't even notice the chat box section to post this kind of stuff. Didn't mean to clutter up the main page.

Yeah, those will be the winter wheels and next spring I'll find something a little better.

Congrats! Is it a manual trans or Tiptronic? I've had my 6MT allroad for over a year and I'm slowly adding the mods. In my opinion, the air suspension is the reason for going with an allroad over the A6 sedan (I've had my '02 A6 2.7T for over 7 years). Just like the all round all season versatility of the allroad...

It's a Tip since I couldn't really find any manual ones within 500 miles. It's not all bad since it's pretty nice to finally not have to use a clutch in traffic. If I want to row through the gears I have my Corrado or my wife's 20th AE GTI.

The main reason I got it was for dog, snowboard, camping, and hauling duty that had been done by the aforementioned VW's. Cramming a ~80lb dog into the back of a Corrado isn't the most ideal of situations.

Most of the mods I plan to do are to get it more back country road friendly with skid plates, racks, wheels and tires, hitch, etc. Unfortunately I've found that it's tough to find skid plates for the allroad so maybe I'll find a local place to fab one up. I guess I've been spoiled with how easy it is to get aftermarket parts for my VW's.
