    Pic request: painted cupra R lip on quartz gray S-Line

    I got rear ended the other day and my rear bumper will be painted once i take it to the body shop. I have considered buying a cupra lip; this would be the perfect (cheapest) time to paint it and wanted to know if anyone has done this on a Quartz Gray B7.

    This is the only one ive seen with a painted cupra, not quartz gray but.

    Funny you post this... I just installed mine on my QG tonight. Had it sanded down and painted 2 weeks ago and finally got around to putting it on tonite!

    I'll try and take some photos tomorrow.

    wow!!! called a few audi certified (recommended by dealership) body shops around the area and the highest i was quoted was $100.. and i thought they were hawks around here lol.

    Well if I hadn't gotten it prepped and sanded down smooth, it would have been in the $100 range.... it was all the extra work to get it smooth that jacked up the price.

    btw - NYC prices are always higher lol

    I just installed mine on my Quartz before h2o...love the way it looks, and I was really stuck on painting it...I'm stoked to see these pics and possibly do it haha

    Yes, I have a 2008 with the S-line body package and sports suspension.

    I don't believe I have headlight washers... but I could be wrong... how do you operate them?

    Do you have any closer pics?? No need to get all defensive though since the price you paid is kind of crazy high. On my old cavalier that I had a body kit put on, I had my rear bumper and side skirts molded to the car and painted for $200. I know I got a heck of a deal, but can't believe a shop would charge you that much to paint the lip. I'm guessing you quoted around and they were the cheapest right??

    BTW the painted lip is growing on me, makes it stick out more for sure compared to stock black!!

    I have an ibis white, is the colour difficult to match? I was thinking about maybe having this done.

    I just got the lip for my DG B7 S4, and wondering if anyone has painted the lip to match either the brushed silver on the side mirrors or the dark gray on the rear bumper?

    suggestions and photoshop pics are welcome!
