What's it made of? I did a few launches with my car and trashed my center bearing. The 034 DS looks nicer, but this one could be the trick. How much did it cost?

Steel is still lighter then the stock !! $ 350.00

I have a Scotty steel one and I don't think you will really feel the difference. I replaced mine because my center bearing was on its way out and didn't want to deal with splitting the joint to re-build it. I live in an apartment so no access to tools / table vice.

Yes the steel shaft (without joints) weighs 8lbs, the stock one is 12ish IIRC.

I did notice it was lighter but didn't weigh it. I got the new boots only.
Good thing too because the grease by the rear end was the consistency of semi-solid moulding clay...
