OK on my 07 S6 how can I keep the DRL led's on while my head lights are on?

on my 07 S6 how can I keep the DRL led's on while my headlights are on? I noticed that the Euro spec cars have the DRL always on even with the headlights on. On my car the shut off as soon as I turn on the headlights. I check in the MMI but did not see anything other then the ability to disable the DRL entirely. Anyone have some ideas?

Should be a relatively simple VAGCOM setting. I have been able to VAGCOM my car to have fogs, low and high beams on all at once. Normally, fogs and lows drop when high beams come on. Makes for very bright night driving!

Agree. I just changed my DRL's to the ROW setting (always on) on my '08 S6. Not wanting to purchase a VAG-COM cable for just this small fix, I printed out the code from the internet and gave it to my dealer when I went in for service. My dealer in WA state charged me $50. Other posts reported that their dealers did it for free.

From my research, with vagcom, :

In Central Electronics: original coding = 0115123, new coding = 0115121 (LEDs for ROW).

This works on my 07 S6.

Quick question i have a A4 b7 with the basic halogen lights and US model they dont have DRL is there a code i can use to get DRL if my car didnt come with them

Reason is i want to get some aftermarket LED headlights which use DRL's but wana make sure i can get them to work before i buy the lights

Code worked great. At my 55K service they did need to replace a sway bar end link, transmission pan gasket and a coolanet line , under warranty without issues. Kudos to Valenti Audi in Watertown CT.

I am looking for an Audi dealer closer to Greenwich CT who will perform the change. The local dealer has called that "aftermarket" and will not perform. Watertown will work, just looking for something closer.

find someone with a vag-com in your area. some dealers will give you are hard time with simple mods.

The DRL settings should be in VAGCOM. My 09 A6 is running halogens as well, but there is a setting in VAGCOM for DRL functionality. When I enable it, I get a dash warning that the DRLs are malfunctioning. This is do to having none. When I add aftermarket LEDs like what you are thinking, I should be able to set them to work as DRLs. It will take some tweaking, but I am sure I will get there.

No issues just a leaking trans pan gasket replaced under warranty .
