I did the APR 5-hour trial but did not notice anything when driving the car. i was switching from stock to 93 but no difference. After about 2 driving hours, i could not switch anymore, it is supposed to switch f0r 5 hours. then i did the Revo trial, same thing. i did not notice any difference. i believe that when the revo trial is over the car goes in limp mode. that never happen. about a year ago i replaced the ecu. the car would turn on but it would not accelerate so my mechanic said that the ecu needs to be replaced. he bought a new ecu and charged 1500 (which i think he ripped me off).
Now i really want a tune and i think there is something wrong with the ecu.Would a custom tune be the only way? Can i buy a used ecu and put it on and try to flash it again? Its an 02 1.8 with tiptronic. Pretty much stock with magnaflow catback.Any input is appreciated! Thanks

There is something wrong with your car.

    1) Perform boost leak test: http://www.a4mods.com/index.php?page...tml&category=5
    2) Check your MAF
    3) Check your n75 valve

Get VAG-COM and log your car.

Yes, your mechanic raped you pretty bad... no lube either :(

ECU swap is an easy diy.
