Coolant Leak / Overflow Hose Issues

Been losing coolant and I've had some trouble tracking down the source but it looks to me like something might be screwed with my overflow hose. Now I realize that it's supposed to be able to vent out, but I don't think it should be torn like this, and it was dumping right onto the heat shield of the driver's side turbo (also not supposed to happen, right?).

Was kind of wondering if there was supposed to be more hose attached that would direct this to the ground in a better way and if you guys think this being torn may have led to the failure of my linkage. My line of thinking is that if this was spewing hot overflow onto the shitty plastic ball joints it may have been what caused it to fail. Either way, I need to fix the linkage and find and fix this coolant leak. Anyone seen any DIYs on the linkage crossbar?

They arent very long and have an angle cut on the end. Looks like yours has been getting cozy with the downpipe.
Tuck it behind the heat shield on the frame rail.
