Update: AWE SMICs fitted, everything connected engine-wise, front lock carrier on, and ready for the bumper to go on. All I have left is driveshaft, axles, exhaust, steering knuckles (replaced front wheel bearings), brakes, and DTS. Oh, and if anyone is in the Reading/Lebanon area of Pennsylvania who is good with aligning shifters... help would be greatly appreciated!

Well... I started the last weekend of September, and it will be done this week, possibly tonight. Time-wise, couldn't say. Of the four weekends, I had to work one Sunday, all day. And as far as the weeks go, I work until 5ish every day and the light only stays out so long. I didn't work on the car EVERY day after work either.

It's pretty straight-forward, but the things that look simple and short on paper set you back the most. I only gutted the pre-cats... and will NEVER do it again.

I haven't decided if I'm going to do the engine pull myself and take it somewhere to get done. You make it look easy on here but I know it's not that easy lol
My passenger's side turbo developed a slight wine in either May or June. It sat for a weak because I was replacing the fuel filter and the fuel line broke at the banjo. At the same time I replaced the N75 valve, which resolved my issued. The whine immediately sounded louder and just a few weeks later the turbo popped at full boost.
As far as the pull... it can be done. Simplest way of putting it. But it will aggrivate you. For anyone who thinks that getting everything apart for a timing belt replacement means halfway done to an engine pull, you could not be more wrong.

Very nice sir! I started mine last night (driveshaft and axles still disconnected) to make sure... well, that it would start. I disconnected the fuel pump first to get some oil circulating, connected the fuel pump, performed a throttle body adaptation, and she started right up after the fuel reached her. No codes! Sounded like a semi with just the downpipes. Didn't run it long though because I didn't have the lock carrier on (no coolant).
