Rear Bumper

Hi guys,

I am having my rear bumper repainted tomorrow. I have never had any of my cars at a bodyshop before and am very worried about something bad happening (scratches, dings..etc). They will need the car for two days. During that time it will be outside in a secured lot but of course with the rear bumper off. I am worried about rust (rain in the forecast). With the bumper off, can anything rust?

Also, the car is a 2011 Deep Sea Blue Pearl. The bodyshop uses Dupont paint. I've always seen Audis, BMW, Mercedes, Porche at their shop. Should I be worried about Dupont paint not matching? Especially it being pearl?

Am I just overall too worried? lol Sorry, just very nervous about having my baby being worked on.

about the rust...it is fine. no need to worry about it!

I need to get my bumper repaired, since someone hit and run my bumper and it has a big gash about the size of a quarter. I have the same worries with the paint, however I only have IBIS white so I assume its a little less challenging....Good Luck I am sure it will be fine, are you going with a authorized Audi repair shop.

I got worried thinking the frame would be exposed to the rain.

When you drive in the rain, your under carriage and all the bits under the bumper cover are hit by the water anyway.
No worries about the cover being off for a short period of time.
